Jarry just put up a .950 against the sharks. Levi also doing good just reduces the pressure on him and provides some healthy competition This is good for everyone.
I don't know why we have to constantly take shots at our own players instead of just rooting for them to both continue playing well.

Not to diminish either of them as they have shown up. But the oilers have been pushing the play to the boards which helps a goalie alot. Levi had some dynamite stops to fight on the inside though.

If it means less pressure for him so he can play better I’m happy for it

He had the same thing occur in Pittsburgh before the trade here, and he was performing pretty good.
I think less pressure might be good for Jarry and let’s see how his next couple starts go. And hey, he isn’t working with Schwartz anymore and with competent coaching anything can happen.
Just look over in Winnipeg at what Stu’s been doing so far this season(with arguably the best goalie coach in the league). But if you watch a Jets game, you’ll notice his jitters and over movement are going away. Wasn’t a Stu fan, but it’s freaking nice seeing him have a good start, especially for a team worth cheering for this season.

I can just see Stu with that Jets goalie coach.
"Schwartz never taught me that".

Probably the wrong side of nhl subreddits but look what Patrick Roy accomplished last year with Ilya Sorokin after the Isles’ fired the goaltending coach in November. From November until the Olympic break Sorokin was posting big wins and multiple shut outs but in the late season they slumped and fired Roy and brought in DeBoer.
Stu is noticeably more confident and clearly has improved since joining the Jets.

i mean Jarry played good when the team in front of him wasn't giving up grade A chances every 5 minutes too. Edmonton was never going to have a goaltender with the way they've played defense.

This is valid.
And I'm sorry to say, there was one defenseman that pretty much stopped defending that we no longer have to worry about.

I think Jarry showed up after the fanbase, and the team zoned out on StuSkin with the intention of being some sort of savior.
Defense was awful, and middle of the road goalies (nhl level… obviously, so they’re actually killer athletes) meant huge holes in the team.
I don’t think Jarry has the capability to carry the team, but I also don’t think the fanbase needs to constantly shit on their players with posts like this. Levi has performed basically the same as Jarry so far this year. One really bad game and a few great ones.
Let’s see how rusty Andersen is after he is healed up before anyone worries.

Jarry had one bad game at the beginning of the season, and so did Levi. Both have turned it around since then. Thay said, id go with Levi if it were playoffs starting tomorrow. This is a good problem to have, especially since they have a champion veteran goalie healing up for later in the season.

These are the fans that make players not want to play here . It’s unnecessary and weak

OMG! You people really need to let this go.
Why would players want to play in a market where the fans make it unbearable to play?

so when Anderson is back from IR in December, how will they handle the goaltending then?
Send Jarry to the minors or Levi?
Or, find a way to buy out Jarry's contract?

More like: Jarry sitting on the bench getting paid more than the starters

All I had to do was take Skinner last in the draft and take Levi free agency instead I took Jerry, someone else took Skinner and now I can’t even get Levi. Fuck man it’s such a shitty feeling knowing that literally every single movie you make is terrible and you’d be better off by doing nothing.

Hopefully they can convince him to go to a team where he'll play that needs a goalie and clear some cap space to add a better D or another winger

I'm really hoping their goaltending absolutely implodes over the next 2 weeks or so 😬

Rangers are looking at Garand and Korpisalo after Shesterkin gets hurt and going oh no.
Then they’re looking at Jarry and going “nah, we will risk it.”

It won’t matter once we start facing actual cup contenders and not bottom-feeder or fringe playoff teams

People here saying less pressure on jarry are on something..all this is doing is putting more pressure on him to perform better.
One has something to prove and is playing well. They other has to prove himself and has sketchy history..
I know which one I want in net.

Less pressure on Jarry, why would he be upset about this
