Question Cameras
I heard Craigentinny Restalrig and Lochend have been proven the worst for dog poo complaints and tiny cameras are being put up to catch people name and shame and fine them? Has anyone else heard this?

Why would people use "tiny cameras". This sounds like nonsense.
An overt camera would surely have more of an effect?

I wish this was true, but I doubt it. The legal hurdle to be cleared by a local authority to deploy surveillance equipment is pretty high, and I don't think dogshit (however chronic) would be sufficient.

The real hurdle is financial. They'll use CCTV if they can save a lot of money by doing it, but they don't care about dog poo.

The legal hurdle to deploy CCTV? In the UK? I think thats a solved problem at this stage.

Question, how will they know who it is to name and shame them?

I've often thought there's not enough privately owned cameras pointed at streets catching people going about their daily lives.

The "tiny cameras" in question.
