Is any of the loot outside of the quest items worth keeping? Does any scale high enough to warrant holding on to?

Not to mention all the folks who just chill invisible. They're at least passively following the game if not playing currently. Is it so hard to believe that most of those people will drop $10 to re-sub/un-sub anytime new content gets released?

I virtually never see the complaint that this version of the game isn't fun, people generally complain that they want to be able to play it more.

It's not a major time investment like starting up a WoW or MnM account and taking a char the distance. Once Kunark's out it'll be easy enough to drop some cash for a few weekends melting the new zones and checking out what the custom stuff is all about. Then un-sub, guilt-free.

I'm currently chilling in Night Harbor on MnM with /lfg tag on fletching arrows, while passively doing a Hole dc and chatting in Gen chat on the next monitor. They don't really compete when you can always drop what you're doing in EQL without risk of wasting time. It's a great time to be a retro mmo fan.

People are worried that in a year there won't be an EQL server when for all we know Velious will be out, reincarnation will be out, Artes will be out, and that number in the Discord might be higher.

Just rolled my first bow build. I don't even have the sky bow yet, but I'm killing level 27 centaurs in a few hits at level 10. I figure progress in South Karana will slow by level 20. What's a good zone progression from there? I'm hoping to go all the way to 46 in big open zones.

I have started playing this combo... wow it is fun but I also realize I am overgeared. I have been using EQtools to tweak my gear but there is some stuff I am doubting. I know this build is pretty popular. Is there any guides out there on this class combo people enjoy?

Patch Notes say:

I am level 50 and as an ENC my pet is still 49...

How do I get it to 50 like the Patch Notes say it is supposed to be?

My goal with my first trio was to be able to do endgame D4 content solo. I'm BIS'd and working on moting, but finding that while I can kill things in D4 endgame instances, my damage is so anemic I'm almost entirely dependent on a charmed pet to make progress at a decent clip. If I lose access to them (e.g. in a raid instance), I'm almost better off starting over.

My thought with the spellbar and rotation was that D4 hits hard and surpises you with weird duo/trios, so focus primarily on survivability and flexiblity.

But in practice this means only 1 of my classes - SK - is doing much damage with the exception of the Enc pet. And SK is not exactly a top tier DD class.

My current thought is to drop some of the utility spells and start weaving in some of the DRU/ENC direct damage spells - but I'm not even sure which I'd use.

1. Drain Spirit (primary dps+sustain spell, weaved between autoattacks)
2. Shroud of Hate (minimize 2h dps loss from missed swings)
3. Mesmerization (CC)
4. Allure (CC/DPS)
5. Efflorescing Heal (when lifetaps aren't enough)

4. Send in Gheld pet
5. Apply slow if needed
6. Get/Keep HoT up
7. Apply 2 DoTs, keep them up
8. Spam lifetaps every time life drops below 80%

I'm farming rock golems in The Hole for the shoulder peice and the bow. Currently I am doing it on D2 where the kills are fast so I am getting more chances. What difficulty do you use when farming regular mobs?

Someone on discord attempted to start farming for this noting that one of the NPC's is a huge bottleneck.

The other thing they noted was you could only start the faction quest by having the proper deity.

Have any others started this. As someone with 82/83 factions I'm looking for a second opinion before spending the 5 bucks to start this long ass thing because after getting my slayers done I'll "effectively have nothing left" to do.

Back to the faction itself... anyone doing this and can tell me what their experience has been?

I lean pretty heavy into cleave and rampage. I am 100% in berserker stance.

I have been using the Cudgel of the Fool, but I am wondering if I should go Ocean blade + Dagas instead?

I don't have the Dagas, but I could work on getting it.

Like my Cudgel is 1.73

My Ocean is 1.54. If I were to get a Dagas up to 10 it would be 1.05

Off hand doesn't get the damage bonus applied, but it appears as though Dagas has none so no change there?

And, I guess dual wield skill means that the offhand swings hit about 75% of the time?

So would the rough estimate for dual wield ratios be 2.3275 = 1.54 + (1.05 * 0.75) ?

There is the fact though that 2h is better for flurry and rampage, too.

I would normally go to the target dummy and test, but, like I mentioned, I don't have the Dagas yet. And, it would be nice, if possible, to know these answers before investing the time to pump it up.

Logged on to do my daily inny raid and now it is not letting me after yesterday's patch. Before I was doing whatever raids I wanted D0-4 daily. Now it seems i can do D0-4 once a week.

From everything that I’ve read, your mana pool is equal to the sum of the two largest mana pools of your trio regardless of if you’re int based or wis based primarily.

Specifically, I was thinking about what to play when Kunark comes out. My main now is brd/wiz/enc but since they are purportedly going to removing DDDs effectiveness I was going to swap out bard for a tanky sustain class…paladin or shadow knight. With this trio, I should most likely pick shadow knight since some of the SK gear will innately have int on it positively affecting my mana pool whereas if i chose pal my mana pool would be hamstrung, right?

So water pet. Was using serpent's tooth and whatever the Lord of ire drops.

DPS dropped to 6.5k and then I equipped 2 shrieking aspiths (not spelling shit rn) and went up to 10k. What am I missing?

Yeah numbers were way off pulling from the top of my head.

But bloodmoon and serpent's tooth went from 77 DPS and when I swapped it for the spears it went up to 135 DPS.

I’ve been seeing a lot of complaints about where the game is headed can someone explain exactly what the company is up to and why fan base is dropping. I’ve been having fun and will probably keep playing.

Since all pets are WAR I think Fangol +10 is the new ES +10. Can someone parse numbers. It needs to be compared to 2 +10 DW weapons.

Paladin, monk, beastlord. S+++ Being able to equip a Alduin, Blade of the Ocean and Wus on both your (Now level 50) Warder and your Trio toon with the new update gives you Double Trouble BRUTAL melee dps sustain and Beastlords being a wisdom class, not only give a decent slow, fast hard hitting nukes, decent dots, and pet proc nukes, but it makes gearing this trio much easier for higher mana.

quick parses before kids stuff, looking great!

Mage was my favourite class for the first few years of EQ. I had planned to save it as one of my last classes to level in legends and that worked out well given the state of pets at launch. We've had some updates and even taking my time, I've done the content to death so it's time to give the mage a shot.

The problem I'm having, is that everything I want to pair up ends up feeling like the mage is just replacing a class in an otherwise better trio. The hope is that I'm just an idiot (there's lots of hope) and overlooking something that's very strong and syncs up. What have your experiences been?

I filtered all combat and spell notifications except resists and ended to the combat tab, but I still get bombarded with bard spells not landing on me in my main chat tab. I've tried every filter I think would stop it, but it still goes on. Any know which one it is?

Hi first time posting!

I just hit 50 with my first trio. Brd/Dru/Mnk is a lot of fun so far. I've parsed myself a few times and it's looking like most of my dps is coming from melee. That's OK wil me but I was just trying to see how I can optimize (without DDD). Currently I'm using drifting death and my 5 bard dot chants, a couple heals, and in my SA I have Selos chord of Cessation (slow and dot), Jonathan's Provocation (melee bonuses inc haste), Cantata (all regen), denons disruptive discord, shield of songs (rune) OR Ervaj (more haste). I'm doing roughly 210 dps average farming through hate trying to start my level 50 gear up.

Is there anything I can do to up my dps to kill faster OR or up my survival rating? I haven't tried naggy since lvl 45 and that was my only raid experience.

Stats wise, should I be looking for str, dex, agi, sta? Does int help my bard songs?

Are there any unique gears that I may have missed that will help me in some way?

Hi, I found contradicting information on this. Was anybody able to confirm whether this is working for Ranged Combat/ Point Blank?
