The bot is only as accurate as its sources—the ECHL website says the same (4-2 in OT) so that explains the why for the bot.

Hello everyone! I’ve been using the preseason to iron out some stuff with the new version of the ECHLbot. I’m doing a test in “production” today.

First hiccup of the day: this thread thinks it’s an Off Day because the league doesn’t supply any “ECHL Today” information for the preseason (same reason today’s GDTs are a bit bare to start). However, you can see here a new function of the bot: it’ll take yesterday’s scores and spit out a digest of the results.

Excited to continue to improve this as the season progresses! I know it doesn’t have a shiny React front-end like the other leagues, but that might come later on down the line.

Just a reminder—if you would like to sign up your team’s subreddit to receive GDT posts, please message me! If you had them active last season or we’ve already messaged, you are all set up for this season.

How did Wheeling lose 4-2 in OT?

It’s an exhibition so they played an OT round even though the Komets were up 4-2 at the end of regulation. They did a shootout as well
