Question/Advice Broadband
Moving to the beautiful Machars peninsula - any advice on decent Broadband providers would be so welcome. Thank you.

I'm a bit further west but the new fibre works great - we use bt and have had no problems. Previously had to use EE mobile broadband so it's a huge improvement. My parents are on the machars and i think use Plusnet and have not had any issues. My partner's parents are on the machars too and use bt. The plug-in wifi boosters you get with bt are particularly useful for stone houses!

We're on the Machars near Port William, we get 1gb no problems. We use Vodafone, neighbours use EE and BT. The only issue has ever been when the lines get damaged by the storms, and that depends on OpenReach fixing it so not provider dependant anyway.

I don’t live that far west but I do live in a reasonably rural village where FTTP has been rolled out. I use EE as my broadband supplier and I haven’t had any complaints about them yet.
The main reason I’ve chosen them is because of the EE One thing where you can get discounted mobile contracts. Taking that into account, I’m saving a bit of money.
