Which is fine, but that doesn’t substitute for professional therapy, dietitians, and medical doctors. 😡

Collin Gosselin (of Kate plus 8) recently mentioned on GMA that even as a kid producers tried to get bigger reactions out of them. He remembers being told to cry harder or laugh louder. This makes me think the Duggar kids probably also had to do that. Can you think of any times on either 19 Kids or Counting On where it seems like kids (not young adult but kids about 6-13) seemed like they were over (re)acting?

In a much more in depth interview on the podcast On Purpose (MAJOR parental abuse trigger warning if you seek it out) Collin Gosselin talks about realizing at 8 years old that he no longer wanted to film. Since that wasn’t an option for him he says he acted out by looking at the camera as little as possible both during interviews and group activities. Can you think of times during the shows it was clear a tween did not want to be filmed?

The Duggar ladies get talked about a lot, but I would be very interested to hear from a lost boy (any of the ‘Jeds’) how they really felt about smiling for the camera at nine years old. I respect his privacy but is Justin going to come out from the shadows and drop some truth bombs? I’d love it!

I am officially out of the loop with Duggar babies. Which is, honestly, a good thing. I also forgot I had followed Jason on IG, probably one of my maniac episode decisions years ago.

Reading the New York Times this morning and came across an article about how unmanageable the Southern Florida DOJ has become. (A certain someone appointed political yes-men rather than seasoned and dedicated and apolitical prosecutors. Over half of the attorneys have left! It’s crazy attrition.)

Anyhoo, a line caught my attention: the office is now openly seeking military lawyers to serve there, in the South Florida DOJ.

And for the first time, Derrick joining the military made sense. Even a baby lawyer with only a few years of experience as a prosecutor is now cream of the crop and eligible - nay, encouraged! - to work in one of the elite legal offices.

I saw this post on Threads, and I have no one else to share this with. I haven’t been on Reddit in a minute, and for a millisecond I thought Pest 1 died before reading it was sadly rhetorical 💔 but so glad to see that when his name resurfaces, it’s listed amongst other scum

I think the JoKen and the Josh scandals have ruined social media for all of the family. Only Joy and Jinger post regularly, and that’s because they have a podcast together. I think they’d rarely post if it weren’t for that. Jill hardly posts anymore, and I think part of it is she is now a military wife and busy raising three boys without Derick’s help. Jessa and Jana sometimes post, but it’s only to sell stuff and the occasional child pic. And then we have Josiah/Lauren, Jed/Katey, Jason/Maddie, James, and Justin/Claire who disappeared from social media. Then there’s John/Abbie and Jer/Hannah who also hardly post anymore, but they recently shared they each had a baby without sharing the name and date of birth.

Also, I think Katey and Maddie tried to dip their toes into the influencing pool like their sisters-in-law, but they failed. As for Katey, I think being a parent to four kids under five has overwhelmed her and she doesn’t get any help from her useless husband.

What are all of your thoughts??

I have no idea which twin that is, but she really looks like Ivy here! Also, Katey looks so fed up with everything, especially with Jed! Prime. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s pregnant again, but is hiding it (she did that hide the bump with one of the twins in this clip) and will never be announced until the name is accidentally revealed.

I was pretty happy seeing he keeps losing his "good time" after being away for a bit.

Jana is the oldest of the 4 girls who ran buddy teams, yet her first buddy is a non-twin lost boy who is 10 years younger than her. Meanwhile Jill, Jessa, and Jinger seem to be about 5-6 years older than their buddies and their first buddies are Joy-Anna and the lost boy twins, all born before Jana’s first buddy. Why would Lego and Cannon assign the younger girls buddies first and give Jana a buddy last?

"Typical tasks for a buddy include: dressing, bathing, & feeding". If perm is sperms buddy does she dress & bathe him? As for feeding, it's his sexual needs. 🤢🤮

The sisters discussed all things wedding but failed to mention that although Jinger and Jeremy had a church wedding on November 5th, they had no license and it wasn't signed until November 10.

How was that OK with Jim Bob?

When it comes to Duggar family weddings, all the siblings usually attend with their spouses and children. We all know that Josh is in prison which explains why he didn’t attend. It’s unclear whether Anna and her kids attended. Cousin Amy and Jim Bob’s sister Deanna are no longer invited to family gatherings which explains why they didn’t attend. It’s very likely that Jill and her three boys attended without Derick being there because of his JAG officer military service. It’s likely that Joseph and Kendra were there but were kept at arm’s length by other family members due to their legal issues along with Joseph’s bond conditions preventing him from being around children unsupervised. As far as out of town Duggars are concerned, Jinger and Jeremy may have attended as well as Jana and Stephen and Justin and Claire.

I know this a phrase we regularly use as snark-fuel, but help me put my finger on why it’s so off-putting. I think for me it’s because Meech sounds so matter of fact and detached… she says it the same way you would say “phone is charging”
