I found this exact drum beat loop in any various songs anywhere and they use this exact drums, and i also think this was made like a drum software? not entirely sure, anyone knows this drum track?, it's an aggressive, metal, breakbeat kinda. btw i use an AI to separate the drums from the song

I'm looking for some tips/help. Say you're playing a basic 8th note rock beat. Playing a double kick on any of the 8th notes feels not too shabby and natural. Playing the double starting on an 'e' or an 'a' feels so awkward and foreign.
I think I've nailed the problem to be the up stroke. When I'm playing on the 8ths, my leg/foot lift to prepare for the note is hard wired to my hands, so I lift my leg/foot in unison with my hands. Playing on the off beats, it seems I'm trying to either cram the upstroke into the first half of the 8th note which is rushed. If I try consciously do this early, it feels like I'm hanging out/waiting.
If I don't overthink it, it often works just fine, but then suddenly I just totally lose it. Any tips besides just practicing slow? Practicing to a metronome without hands involved at all?

From his album with Jeff Babko released in 2001. I’m not a jazz player by any stretch, my jazz drumming is monkey see monkey do but it’s fun to just screw around a bit and just let things fly.

Hello all,
I have been asked to give drum lessons to my neighbor's two sons. However, it had been over a decade since I've given drum lessons to a kid, and roughly 3 decades since I've taken lessons myself (I'm old).
So my question is; how much are people paying these days for hourly lessons?? I would love to offer these lessons for free, but I could really use the additional income. On the other hand, I really like my neighbors, and I don't want to overcharge them.
Help me out here!

Hi I’m looking for recommendations for exercise books based around groove ideas, particularly working on ghost notes and syncopation. I know David garibaldi has a few but not sure which to go for? Any other recommendations much appreciated!

So a few weeks ago I posted the drum room or studio I was working on. Well a week in to it and I have some pictures to share. Keep in mind we started with a decent room just needed to be stripped and reinforced and have new lighting put in and flooring. Anyway tonight I have the current shape it’s in. It gets insulation tomorrow then sound board next week.
