The BBQ was a bit much but the place smelled lovely

For some reason I enjoy listening to these lyrics 💀

Finally getting around to playing some of the albums I got in the mail this past weekend. Pretty decent audio for demos.

I’ve got a Boss Katana 50 and I really do not like it at all so I been looking into replacing it. I was looking for a cheap used OR-15 or Dark Terror when I found a Super Crush 100 with a Peavy 2x12 cab for $400 just 30 minutes from my house and it seems like too good of a deal to pass up. Only issue is I’m just a lowly bedroom guitarist with a full time job and a one year old so I rarely have time or an opportunity to play loud.

Is it ridiculous to get a 100 watt amp and never even crank it? Can an amp that powerful even get quiet enough to not annoy my wife and neighbors and still sound good?

1968 SG Special, Karma Suture fuzz, 1976 Marshall 4x12 signal chain. There's a splash of reverb in there from my milkman Fstop.

Basically songs you would use to introduce doom to someone?

I think this works because it has a great chorus, isn't too long, meaty riff and is rather catchy. Great entry song to the genre.

What else would you consider a song to get people acquainted with doom, stoner, sludge etc etc

Haven’t seen anything yet. Post em up!

1 ticket, GA. I don’t want anything from anyone in exchange. DM me if interested. Kowloon Walled City is the opener, doors at 7, show at 8.

Update: this has been claimed as is no longer available.

I never really could understand the lyrics besides the chorus, so last year I decided to google the lyrics and fucking a lol. I don't know if people could understand it better than I but that would explain some off the odd expressions I'd see when I'd sit out on my driveway handing out candy.

This is such a great album and gives some similar vibes to ‘Carheart’ by Virus I’m only just now realising… which I also love, so it makes sense! Anybody know if the two bands are related in any way? Am I just crazy?

Great way to start the day, blasting some Norwegian cosmic doom - KAL-ELs latest album, Astral Voyager Vol. 2.

Is the emphasis on the castle or the rat?

Meaning, is it a castle called Rat, or is it a rat that lives in a castle?

New release from my one man black/doom/grind/“idk man it’s heavy and gnarly” project, I hope you dig it 🫶🏻

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a personal milestone with you. I just published our very first DIY zine over on our official band website, and it’s completely free for anyone to grab.

Putting a zine together has been a bucket-list project of mine for years. Making underground heavy music is all about community, and honestly, without the constant support of people backing independent bands and DIY culture, this wouldn't have come to life.

You can read it directly on the site or download the file to keep:

If anyone prints out a copy, please send a picture to our DMs or tag us—we'd love to share it and see it out in the wild!

Huge thanks to everyone keeping the independent scene alive. Hope you dig the read!

I'm very new to metal in general so I apologize if I'm getting any terminology wrong here but I believe this band identifies as doom metal, but came across this song from tiktok and omg it's so good! The lyrics especially the last few seriously hit me so hard like I can't believe how underrated these guys are. If you guys have any recommendations for me as well to anything similar feel free to give! I'm really enjoying exploring this side of my music taste because funny enough I only really listened to Bollywood music up untill now lol!! Don't get me wrong still love it but I like expanding my taste.
