Fan Creation Another device added to "Will it run DOOM" - yes it does :)

I added DOOM to the Tamagotchi Paradise. Runs quite good, better then expected.

I would definitely recommend the Tamagotchi Paradise, it's one of the best tamagotchis that there has been for a while. You should consider getting her one and encourage her to unlock everything there is to unlock because it takes a while. And well, if she grows tired of it, there's always this.

Tamagotchi's have always held a speciel place in my heart. I love those dumb little creatures. I used to BEG my parents for one when I was little and would always go and stare at them in the stores when we went grocery shopping. It's kind of ironic, considering I'm an alt-style leaning 36 year old dude irl. What can I say, I'm not ashamed to rip and tear and then go brush my digital baby's hair.

1993 game, google clanker says 2mb of ram to run doom in the nt3.1 era

So realistically every single arm processor after the gameboy advance can be forced to run it, the question is “has someone tried it yet”

Over countless years I’ve seen the craziest things run doom. My favorite so far is probably a thin laptop light bar right above the keyboard. But everytime I see a new one I’m still amazed as ever.

Every time I see one of these colour tamagotchis I just think how terrible the battery life must be. The monochrome LCD ones lasted forever.

You know? While this is impressive, and the graphics are great. The controls aren’t great and the music and sfx, even by the toy’s standards aren’t great.

Considering how all the 90s and 2000s era Doom ports differed greatly in quality, one question that now disgraced YouTuber Karl Jobst asked in addition to “can it run Doom?” was “should it run Doom?”

TBH, as impressive of a technical feat as this is, especially with how high quality the graphics are, I think I still prefer the 32x version of the soundtrack, even though that version of the soundtrack isn’t great either…

Still, nice work on getting this to actually run!

Well sound is not good, I agree, but can be turned off. Control is ok actually. One handed a challenge but with 2 hands I can get used to it. At least a good use case for a tama, specially in the evening when the tama is sleeping now the device can serve another use. :) and just fun to see it works beside the normal tamagotchi firmware.
