I'm sick of people making sh*t up now. The news reports are doing what they do best and dramatising little bits of second hand information.
What's the worst is that people are just making gigantic assumptions and making stories up as they go along.. then spreading them like facts.
I watched a tiktok from the lady who WAS there with the victim, she took his photos, experienced his presence and watched the incident unfold and she tells her experience of him with heavy implications that he was of some neurodiversity and appeared to lack perception of danger. Yet, her factual, real account of the victim isn't plastered all over social media... just fake, dramatised, money making sh*t everywhere.

Hello,
I've moved to Doncaster in the last couple of months after experiencing a mental health crisis. A friend has allowed me to live on a boat and we were getting things straight on it but unfortunately my friend has been locked up for a bit and I've been living aboard with no electric for a couple of months and just charging my phone at maccies.
I would like to get the solar panels connected up but I have little financial access right now but I think I have everything needed to wire it up apart from a multi metre.
Could anyone please help me? I am currently moored at Long Sandall. It shouldn't take any longer than 20 minutes. It's been really difficult recovering with absolutely no electric.
Thank you

I'm working with the Work Foundation at Lancaster University, a research organisation, and we are researching the challenges facing young people trying to get into work in Doncaster and South Yorkshire.
We're currently speaking to major national TV news outlet, who would like to hear from a young person aged 18ā24 in these areas who is currently out of work and not in education or training.
They're interested in hearing about your experience of looking for work ā for example, how long you've been searching, the jobs you've applied for and the barriers you've faced.
This would initially just be an informal conversation so you can find out more before deciding whether you'd be comfortable taking part in any interview. Filming will take place on Wednesday 7 October near or at your home.
If this sounds like you, please send me a private message or email me at info@theworkfoundation.com. I'm happy to answer any questions and provide some more information.
Thanks for considering and have a good evening,
Jon
PS. Thanks to mods in advance for approving.

Iām looking to set up a monthly womenās meet-up group in Doncaster. The idea would be to do different activities throughout the year (e.g. learn to crochet, talks) with a small fee to attend to cover materials and/or memberships to cover the year.
I moved to Doncaster 2 years ago, and havenāt really made too many friends here; and having spoken to some of my neighbours they also feel the same.
Before I launch into logistics, registrations and planning, I wondered if anyone else would be interested? Thank you!

Hey there! š
I'm looking for people who love belting out their favourite rock songs whether it's at a gig, in the car, or in the shower!!
Come and join the Rebel Hearts Choir!!
YOUR FIRST SESSION IS 100% FREE!!
We're an alt community choir in Conisbrough singing some absolute bangers from classic rock through to emo anthems.
There's no auditions, no sheet music, no previous singing experience needed. All we care about is your passion for the music and coming together as a group to enjoy that!
You remember how great it felt to sing along to every word at that gig? At Rebel Hearts you get to capture that feeling with new friends every week!
And with your first session being on us, you've literally got nothing to lose!!
We're solo friendly (every one of our current members rocked up solo the first time), as well as welcoming all genders, voices, and lifestyles!
Our next rehearsal is:
TUESDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER
7PM @ IVANHOE CENTRE, CONISBROUGH, DN12 3JX
GETTING HERE/ACCESSIBILITY:
There's free onsite parking, and the 221 and X3 both stop very close by. We rehearse upstairs but there's an accessible lift for those with mobility issues.
Want to try us out?? Drop me a DM and I'll put your name on the list!

I just did a Speed Awareness Course, because what else is there to do at 0745 on a Sunday morning?
One thing that jumped out to me was that Doncaster is the most likely place to have a collision in the country :( At 38 per 100k it just pips Bradford (at 37), and Walsall and Bristol were in the mix too.
Stay safe out there folks!

I've been told Wetherspoons have put an offer in on the Cheswold pub at Lakeside.
A quick look online suggests it is under offer.

Hi guys, Iām hoping someone might be able to help me identify a bridge near Doncaster 7.5 weight limit.
Last year I drove over what I remember being quite a strange/flexible bridge, and Iāve been trying to find it ever since. My friend doesnāt believe that something like this exists š
From what I remember, the bridge actually seemed to move/flex quite noticeably while I was driving across it!!! almost as if the whole thing was flowing or moving underneath me. It was honestly pretty terrifying and distressing at the time because I canāt swim and I remember thinking I was going to end up in the water.
I canāt remember the name of the road, bridge, or exactly where it was, only that it was somewhere around Doncaster.
Does anyone know what bridge I might be talking about, or remember a bridge around Doncaster that moves/flexes like this?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Edit
I was in scunthorpe on that day as well, itās possible to be between them or in the direction of scunthorpe
