Great photo. It's quite a hike. How long did it take you?

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I’m just now seeing this. This was about a year ago so I don’t remember the exact times but we started at 6 or 7 and finished around 1 I think? I’m pretty sure it was 3 hours up, 2 hours back, and then we spent about a half hour at the lake and 1.5 hours in the hot springs in the valley of desolation just chilling and soaking. We got back with enough time to go into titou gorge and go swimming

If you are a regular hiker and in moderate shape it is strenuous but not too hard.

Did you get to boil eggs in a bag on the ground for a snack?

Yep sure did!

Funny thing is I never really liked hard boiled eggs before that. But the night before our hike we were at our friends house in Scotts Head and we drank way too much and didn’t go to sleep until 3; we woke up at 5 to hike, and we missed breakfast and we’re so hung over and hungry that when it came time to boil and eat those eggs, they were like mana from heaven. So good. Now I love hard boiled eggs!

Thanks. It took us about 6 hours total - 5 hours of active hiking with an hour of hanging out in the springs in the valley.
