Figure: Hammond collection Pyroraptor

Dolores is an adorable and impressively detailed addition to the Hammond Collection, and the first figure in Mattel’s new “Screen Scale” series. While her size is screen-accurate, her proportions are somewhat off, particularly her narrow frill and short tail. The sculpted detail is excellent, with varied scalation and realistic skin texture. The new “real feel” skin is a great addition, while the returning glass eyes are the standout feature, with some of Mattel’s most realistic eyes yet. Unfortunately, the paint is over-saturated, the tail stripes end too soon, and her dewclaws are unpainted. Articulation is decent, but the mouth cannot fully close. Despite her flaws, I still strongly recommend Dolores for her excellent detail and the novelty of having a “life-size” dinosaur in your collection. It also helps that she’s a little cutie!
