Missed a 25 dollar dcf680 on marketplace due to deciding if it was legit (it was sadly) and several minutes later it was pending.
So I saw this on offer up for $99, I asked to do $70, met in the middle at $85. When I went to pick it up he asked me if I knew why they were 200-300 dollars on eBay. Told him they were discontinued and people like them a lot. He mentioned that several minutes after we agreed that people were offering him above asking but we already had agreed. There are still decent people out there it seems..
25 minute drive this morning was all it took! Now just need the 680 for the pistol grip.

I'm not sure if that's a good deal or not (seems ok?), but I wanted something small enough to fit in my wheel well for the back 2 brakes because the front 2 were a nightmare with my 3/8 socket wrench lol the hardest part of a 30 minute job is always the first 3 hours as they say.
I think worse case scenario I buy a bigger badder impact wrench in the future for stubborn lug nuts.
Do you guys have any tips or things to consider about this kit/impact, or impacts in general?

Apparently just hit the stores a couple days ago, my first impact wrench after a couple sleepless nights of researching. Lowes description said it comes with a bag as well but box and I can confirm that is false.
edit: the charger included is a DCB1102

Not sure if it makes sense to buy the whole setup with dewalts stainless tank? Or just buy the plastic separator and connect it to a 5 gallon bucket?
I’ve seen some feedback around mounting the separator to a plastic bucket being flimsy, other don’t seem to have issues.
Anyone using either set up? Curious to hear what you did and how it’s working out.

The Dewalt sub might need to be cross posted to r/purchase-regret. Or maybe I'm thinking of the r/Toughsystem2.0 sub... Either way, roast my spend starting.... Wait for it.... Now
And yes, the listing specifically mentioned wireless tool control, but I'm more excited about the 155cfm and 30 second automated filter cleaning and did I mention wireless tool control.

I want to know if anyone knows a website or place that has a variety of drill wraps and or protective boots for DeWalt, I've been looking around and I can't seem to find anything for the 12v max Xtreme impact driver dcf801 or dcf902

My old Milwaukee brushed drill got the special smoke when drilling thru some joists with a 36” flex bit.
Needed a new one that day, local HD had a single unit left on a big clearance. Two 4ah XR batteries were sitting next to it for $179…. I paid $134.50
for the two batteries, brushless drill, charger, and a new purse. Score!

I'm a happy new owner of the Dewalt DCS 525 20V Track Saw. I'm using it on the Powertec track (Makita/Festool like 3rd party track) and it works great on it. Upon first use at the 90degree setting, your tracksaw cuts the edge guard of the track, as designed, allowing you to have an edge that exactly matches your saw. But I was curious how this would work at the 45 degree setting for the saw. Dewalt's own track has two sides, one for 0 (90 in my mind), one for 45. I didn't want to pay premium prices for that track though.
So, I did some attempts (hard to focus) to show what happens at the 45. On the track, now cut and matching the saw's 0 (aka 90), you will see that the rotation of the saw is such that it moves to the right slightly, maybe 2mm, of the new edge on the track. For me, this is more than acceptable. I won't be cutting 45 often, if ever. If I do, I'll be perhaps a sawblade kerf to the right, so I'll just do some test cuts first, figure out my offset, and plan the track placement accordingly. I was worried that, given how the Dewalt track has two sides, the 45 setting might mess up my Powertec 90 deg edge, but it does not. So, I'm happy for my use case.
Side note on the 45: this track saw does not engage with the anti-tip lip of the track. But: the weight and balance, with a battery on it at least, is such that it is fairly stable on the track even with no anti-tip hook on the saw.
For those in the market, the tracksaw freely bevels from 0 (aka 90) to 45, with solid stops at 0 and 45. There's also a release to achieve -1deg and a 48deg function too. Out of the box, I did no calibration and am getting perfect 0 (aka 90) cuts with the stock blade (48T fine finish blade, 6.5")
So ends my findings on this 45-degree setup, and my PSA to share those findings.
Anybody have the new battery and can confirm if it keeps the 777 from kicking you out of turbo/dropping performance after 3 mins on turbo? I swear I use my Makita 40V blower more because it increases amps to compensate for voltage drop and therefore keeps performance. The 60v just drops and drops until turbo basically doesn’t work.

From a DeWalt Rep that a new modular tool storage system is in the works. A long ways away from coming to market but something is in development…
I’ve been a Klein tools ModBox guy from its initial roll out but I’d be willing to switch if DeWalt gets it together.

Caught the Fasteners Inc Flash Sale on Saturday 2 weekends ago. Bought 4 4amp PP for $200 shipping included. Didn’t need batteries but didn’t want to pass up a decent deal.
Worst packaging I’ve received from Fasteners. Batteries are legit and will be put into service tomorrow with my crew.

Hello
I have had this trimmer for a while now and have not been able to keep the string in. I wind it up and turn it on and all the string spits back out. I am using a star shaped string. Do I have to use a round shaped string?

Not sure how often I’ll use this thing, but 50% off sounded pretty decent. Anyone have experience with this attachment?

I know Murdoch's did everyone wrong with the jack debacle, and I feel for you guys. My recent experience was positive. It was my first time buying from them and to my surprise, the nailer and the flex battery were both dated 2026. I've bout so many Home Depot closeout deals, I forgot they made any tools in 2026. Full disclosure: I already had the knife but thought I should cover the serial number just in case there's hooligans about.

My favorite impact is on sale! I bought mine when they first came out but this is an amazing deal. Absolutely in love with mine.
