Post image

Hiii folks! I'm setting up a desk dedicated to drawing and just starting to learn how to draw. Here's what I've got so far:

-An Artist Ultra 14 pen display

-An HP laptop

-A DELL monitor

-A 3D-printed hand-shaped pen holder

-My beloved Pop Mart figures

-Some lucky bamboo

Any suggestions for arranging everything? Thanks!

Since making my last post seven months ago, I have upgraded almost all aspects of my set-up: new desk, new chair, 3d printed wrist pad elements, tented keyboard, and pomodoro timer. Everything feels super ergonomic and comfortable now!

After months of tweaking and rearranging, I’ve finally built a space where I actually want to sit down and get things done every day. I wanted to balance functionality with a soft aesthetic, so I kept the desk uncluttered using the pegboard for keyboard storage and added a cloud wrist rest and ambient glow to warm up the room.

❓ • Question WFH and Private setup space issue

I’ve recently been gifted a gaming pc from my bf which I’m very happy for. The problem is that there’s not enough space for both of my laptops, one from my bf and one from my job. My desk is about 120x70cm and I can’t get a bigger one. The first 2 pictures are from before and the last is the after I got the gaming laptop. I also use my switch 2 connected to the monitor, not sure where to place that one either.

Any suggestions? :) I can’t have either one under the desk.

The cable organisations is a whole other problem…

❓ • Question How do I upgrade my desksetup with a budget of rupees 1500

Post image

I'm not even 18 so not a lot of freedom but I have 1500 rupees to spend on upgrades.

Does the white keyboard ruin the whole asthetic or is there something that I can do here.

Also can't make holes in the desk but how to manage wires.

Ik I don't have a deskmat and that is what I'm primarily looking for something that looks good

I'm using laptop screen and I have a laptop stand but not a lot of vertical room so laptop won't fit.

Was getting increasingly frustrated with my old setup and spent a slow month at work designing and building a new desk. I was really focused on getting electronics off the desktop. I’m pretty pleased with how it came out.

❓ • Question Help/Advice

So I’m really bad at this desk setup thing. My husband (left) primarily uses the desk for gaming and occasional studying. I (right) primarily use my desk for when I WFH and occasional gaming. We haven’t done cable management yet because I wasn’t sure how permanent this layout was.

Looking for advice to optimize usability and aesthetics? I added a picture of the whole room for context of the space I’m working with (in case the layout isn’t the greatest).

I’ve been slowly improving my gaming setup, focusing on a clean look with warm lighting and a few unique pieces instead of going all-out with RGB.

My favorite detail is probably the industrial-style lamp that doubles as a headphone stand.

Still a work in progress, but I’m pretty happy with how it’s turning out.

What do you think? Any suggestions?

❓ • Question Is this desk too small?

(Ignore how messy my room is lol) I just got a smaller desk since my last one made my closet door not open all the way and it blocked that other corner of my room, so this one is way smaller, but is it too small? If I sit close and type my eyes hurt cus im so close to the screen lol, so I don’t know if it’s good

After literal years of rearranging, figuring out how many monitors I want, how big of a desk I need, etc., I think I’ve finally landed on my ideal setup. Small, cozy, and functional.

❓ • Question Mounting a Dual Monitor Wall Arm for two 21.5" screens — How high to drill? (Plus Urban Company booking dilemma)

Thumbnail

Hey everyone,

I’m about to drill into my wall to set up a dual-monitor wall mount (gas spring arm) for two 21.5-inch HP EliteDisplay E222 monitors, and I want to make sure I get the wall bracket height right on the first try.

Here are the exact specs of my setup for reference (pictures attached):

Monitors: Dual 21.5" HP EliteDisplay E222 (100x100 VESA compatible)

Mount Specs:
Vertical dynamic height adjustment range: 10.6 inches (270 mm)

Maximum forward extension: 21.13 inches

Minimum distance from wall when folded back: 3.33 inches

Swivel / Tilt / 360° rotation enabled

Since the wall base is fixed once drilled, I want to make sure the 10.6-inch vertical range covers both comfortable sitting posture and full flexibility (pulling forward, tilting, and side-by-side positioning).

Questions on Height & Installation:

  1. Wall Plate Height: Where relative to your desk or eye level did you align the wall bracket? Did you center it around eye level, or set it slightly lower so the screens can sit closer to desk height when needed?

  2. Range of Motion & Extension: With a 21.13" max extension, how far out do you usually pull your screens, and does pushing them back towards the wall (3.33") interfere with your side-by-side alignment?

  3. Technician / UC Booking Experience: I’m considering hiring a technician from Urban Company (UC) for wall drilling/mounting. UC doesn't have a dedicated "Monitor Arm Installation" option, only "TV Wall Mount / TV Installation."

Practically speaking, a dual monitor wall mount requires drilling the base plate into concrete/brick just like a TV bracket, so any TV installer or electrician/carpenter should be able to do it easily.

However, I’ve had issues in the past where a technician calls after booking, says it’s not a standard TV, refuses the job/cancels, and I end up dealing with cancellation/visiting fee hassles.

Has anyone booked a UC standard TV installation or UC Carpenter/Electrician consultation for a dual monitor wall mount? Did the technician do it without fuss, or is it better to just hire a local carpenter directly?

Would love to hear how you measured yours before drilling, and any tips on dealing with Urban Company/technicians for non-standard wall mounts!
