I have been working on some crochet but I like crafting in general and thought it would be nice to have some friends that are down to just sit and chill and do our own crafts together. I have seen things at the library that are like crochet/knitting circles but they are always held at times when I would be at work. 28 y/o guy here, I've lived in Sussex since before high school but never really connected with folks around here for a variety of reasons. I'm a huge nerd and very big into games (Steam/PC). Lately, I've been replaying Witcher 3 and started Diablo IV for the first time, but I play most things. I also work in game development as a 3D and technical artist as well as a writer (hence me playing a bunch of games, gotta see what other devs are creating). Starting to get more physically active, though not in the traditional gym sense as I've never been able to figure a routine/plan that worked in gyms. Instead I've been looking into SCA/HEMA, specifically longsword, as a way to stay in shape but have fun doing it, though those communities don't seem to have much presence in Sussex. All that said though, if any of that sounds like your cup of tea feel free to reach out!

Well I have settled in for a few months and still havent made many friends except neighbors and they are just friendly, looking for people to hike with, go to bars, games, pizza and movie nights. Anyone besides me enjoy barefoot hiking? Slow, mindful walking, more accurately. My walks are one of my great joys in life. It quiets my mind and lets me appreciate nature on a higher sensory level.

I would do it more often, but I get self-conscious about being seen. Maybe I’d feel less conspicuous if I wasn’t alone? Looking for any experienced barefooters or curious first timers who want to meet for a walk, or swap favorite hiking places.
