FLG shop sale on Shop app

I don't think the Shop app has general coupons, but since I've downloaded it a few months ago I've been to save a good chunk of change on hobby stuff and 40k. Since the deals are usually tied to stores it almost always includes other miniature gaming stuff as well like other games and tools.

Long story short: it's got some banger coupons sometimes, especially if you're patient and look at the stores that offer free shipping at certain spend points.

Example today: 30 dollar off 70 dollars spent on FLG storefront. They have the scout squad at the normal 71.40, I added the coupon. After tax and shipping scout squad for 55.94 which is about 10 dollars cheaper than I've been able to find after WEEKS of diligently hunting.

Thought I'd share the tip! Happy hunting!

Scammer Alert

Not sure what the rules are on here so I won't name the person yet but if I'm allowed to I want to warn people about a large(ISH) Warhammer account on Instagram who advertises items for sale but never sends and then blocks. I've opened up Fraud Reports and contacted banks etc but wanted to warn other people as he does have a large following (no one famous mind you)

Firelock Games 20% Off Everything!, Paizo Fall Clearance Sale, & Hidden-Gem Paints Reddit Thread

Firelock Games - 20% off Everything!

Firelock Games is doing a fall event from Oct 9th - Oct 20th in which you get 20% off anything & everything on their website.

Its pretty awesome since your not stuck buying from a limited listed of product. Worth checking out if you want some awesome pirate models for Blood & Plunder or other hobby projects.

Paizo Fall Clearance Sale

I am a little late to this one, but Paizo the creator of Pathfinder TTRPG is having a clearance for a variety of product. Its mostly TTRPG books, but I did see some miniatures so thought this would be relevant to the community.

Miniatures are selling at a 60%-70%, I took a snapshot of the discounts per category in case your interested in the books and other products (see below).

Hidden Gem Paints

Thread Link: https://www.reddit.com/r/minipainting/comments/1x0qwes/hiddengem_paints_i_use_all_the_time/

Reddit User u/sisuburger put together a big list of amazing paints that don't get mentioned when talking about the best paints to buy.

Comment section is also really great with a bunch of people contributing their favorite hidden gem paints.

If you are a rookie painter OP explains in detail on what models/parts of models to use these paints for and why they prefer that specific paint over similar paints from other brands. If your looking to spend some $ on paints take a read might push you in a different direction. Great post worth the read.

This weekend we celebrate Space Marines with Space Marine Saturday/Sunday. Been wanting to do something for Space Marines since the codex release earlier this month.

Decided since Space Marines are #1 most popular faction they probably deserve their own weekend of deal posts. This will be a 2 Part Post - Saturday & Sunday .

Part 1: Space Marine Kits that work with all armies, Allies you can add for fun & flavor, & Armageddon models for cheaper models to bulk up your collection

Part 2: The different Space Marine Chapter units + Horus Heresy Marines. PART 2 is Live.

For those in the U.K there was limited deals on SM kits. So you will get your Space Marine Weekend post likely next week as long as deals look pretty good! You will get your own individual post tomorrow.

United States

Please note these prices may not be available later when you view this post. I will do my best to keep this thread updated a few hours of posting.

Generic Space Marine Kits

Allies

Armageddon

No MSRPs listed since push fit kits are valued differently. If Interested you can look at GW's website for current MSRPs. Typically these will be a 25%-60% discount to standard kits.

Infinity Miniature Game Deals - To Infinity & Beyond! - Save up to 30% - 50% on Infinity models (U.S & U.K)

I just finished adding nearly 300 Infinity kits to my deal tracker for both the U.S & UK.

Infinity is long standing skirmish game that has been on my radar to cover since I have started this community. Happy to say most modern Infinity kits have been added for deal tracking and so far the deals that have trickled through have been excellent.

I just recently acquired an Infinity kit secondhand and I really love the models. I am a sucker for metal models so the metal Infinity kits are up my alley.

We will return to deals for Warhammer & other games tomorrow, but today enjoy a nice change of pace!

United States

This deals may not be available when you view later. MSRP prices were taken from online retailers or converted from Euros to USD/Pounds since Corvus Belli only sells in Euros. The MSRP listed may not be 100% accurate, but currently working on figuring out a permanent solution.

Grouped by faction

[Upadate: Some deals below 30% where included post the end of Miniature Market sale]

Warhammer & Warmachine Deals - 25%+ off MSRP for 40K, AoS, Old World, Horus Heresy & Warmachine kits (U.S Only)

Since Amazon Prime Day was a bust for deals on miniatures I wanted to focus on the type of deals I expected on miniatures.

Today I set it at 25%+ off MSRP across Warhammer and Warmachine. The actual theme today was game systems with "War" in their name, but I couldn't find a catchy title.

I am capping deals at 10 per game system to only focus on the best of the best. Also, these deals may not be available when you view them. I will keep prices and the post updated a few hours after posting!

Warhammer 40K

BONUS: Genestealer Cults Neophyte Hybrids - $45 (GW: $60) -24% discount / Save $15

Age of Sigmar

Bonus: Kharadron Overlords Arkanaut Frigate - $75 (GW: $100) -25% discount / Save $25

The Old World & Horus Heresy

5 listings for each. Not enough 25%+ deals to do 10 on each.

The Old World

Horus Heresy

Warmachine

Bonus: Cryx Necrofactorium Battlegroup Box - $53 (MSRP: $75) -29% discount / Save $22

Amazon Prime Day Oct 6 - Oct 7th Deal Thread (U.S)

Hi all,

Amazon Prime Day is here and I have very little to report. There doesn't seem like there are too many outstanding deals that differ from the typical Amazon discounts I see on a week to week basis. However, I did find some price reductions on miniature/tabletop gaming related items that may be of some interest.

If you found anything interesting please comment them below so people can help themselves!

Free 1.0 version of New Wargame (Dubbed Mordheim 2.0), Warhammer Day Miniature Revealed & Official King of The Colosseum Rules & Website

Here are some wargaming topics I have come across over the last week or so. Decided to group them all into one post.

Black Death City (dubbed Mordheim 2.0)

I never got the pleasure of ever experiencing Mordheim (which sucks because the game looks extremely fun!). But I saw that ex-Warhammer designer Sam Pearson, who was the lead designer of Warcry & Spearhead is dropping his own skirmish game Black Death City. 1.0 is out for FREE and is being compared favorably to Mordheim. Right now, the rules are pretty bare-bones but hey FREE is FREE.

For those who are experienced Mordheim players maybe you can give us a better idea of how it compares?

Some highlights of the game system:

  • Alternate Activations (with smaller "Warbands" activating their models multiple times)
  • Less stat-heavy than games like Necromunda or Warhammer 40K
  • No "out of action" (I think?) just reduced activations when models are injured
  • Both players allocate dice rolls during melee combat choosing how to use those dice tactically

Wargamer did an article on it, which is worth a read if you're interested in more detail.

Website with a rules preview and fighter cards: Black Death City

Warhammer Day Miniature

Link: https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/bimnji3r/warhammer-day-miniature-revealed/

GW dropped Oath Fulfilled (see pic below), their miniature to commemorate Warhammer Day which is expected to be in late October.

You have probably seen this model being posted around the internet, but I decided to throw in my 2 cents. I think the model is perfectly fine. Nothing insanely amazing or particularly notable in my opinion, but as an alternative leader for your Slaves to Darkness army it does add a bit of visual diversity which could be cool.

Not one I would personally seek out as a secondhand purchase if you can't get one at a Warhammer store near you.

This article did give me an idea to maybe do an analysis on the second prices of Warhammer day miniatures over the years.

Official King of The Colosseum Rules & Website

I have talked about Poorhammer's horde variant game mode in the past. The other popular unofficial 40K game mode is King of The Colosseum which is a direct replacement for Combat Patrol (low point games with limitations on the units you can field).

I have never played it, but I know it's popular and have heard of multiple tournaments being held for it. The game mode was in limbo after the release of 11th edition, but Play On Tabletop (creators of the mode) recently released updated rules.

Worth checking out if you enjoy the idea of Combat Patrol but want something a bit different and a little more interesting. It's also a FREE update, and the game mode seems pretty easy to run at your local club with little extra investment required.

I found it pretty interesting especially since the Halo franchise has not done well on the video game side for a long time.

What is your opinion of Warhammer Tone Pro after trying it?

If you aren't aware, there has been a massive push to get all hobbyists to try out the new Warhammer Pro Paint range. In my local area there are at least 3 stores having demo days coming up for these paints.

For those who have tried them what is your opinion?

I have heard reviews from both sides positive and negative. Some people say it's the best thing ever and that they will never return to the existing Citadel paint range while others have called it overpriced and not worth the hype.

For those who haven't tried them (myself included) educate us on the pros and cons of the new range. If you can confirm your local prices even better!
