As title says, tips? I played the game back when I was a teen, didn't finish the last fight because it required me to have played with all characters and I just ran through with Toan. I'm currently in the first dungeon, got Xiao and I'll try to level and play with everyone, just asking for tips since I saw that there could be missables such as the Old Gaffer hurting his back (happened already), but I don't want spoilers since I barely remember anything. Mainly things to improve my gameplay experience, stuff I can just go back and grind if i need the cash, etc etc.

Repeat levels to grind and always have more repair powder than you think you need.

Don't let your weapon break! If it does id reload your last save honestly. When upgradeing your weapon, focus mostly on the stat that will help it evolve next. You can attach gems to weapons without evolving it to get the boost for it temporarily until you fuse it to it permentatly. Listen to the villagers request for where they want their house at, faceing what direction, by trees, by windmill, etc.. it will get you more chest on the overworld that will make you stronger like more health, gem stones, gourds, etc. Try to level all your charecters somewhat evenly. Once you get 5 it start to get harder to do. Lastly, when you get to the 3rd town, you can buy a fish at the towns mart that you can use as a backdoor key and a certin floor has a enemy that gives a ton of weapon exp! I forget what floor it is exactly but id look it up if I were you! Good luck and have fun!

Always have a revival powder in the three slots you have above the screen, they guarantee a revival and stop you from having to use the stand-in powders.

🤔 yea homie if Gaffer happened already then there’s not much. You can get gems from fishing. Do the event for the cheese guy in the AM. Oh! Double check all the homes for chests, some are hidden. The mayors house also gets some. And in the forest area save a “dew”, you get one for an event but also need one to progress through the game. Just annoying needing to find it when you need it. If moles are giving you a hard time use the hammer guys charge attack, he doesn’t take damage when you spin so do it when they hop out of the ground at you. If you go to Archive online you can view the strategy guide as well. Personally for me I get a bandit weapon for Xiao, she hits more often so you have a better chance to get items.

I'm not going to restart the game to "fix that" so I'll roll with it. Anything regarding weapons? I saw you could evolve them and such, but you can only get like 5 levels so I assume you'll have to not use a weapon until you're set on leveling it and the rest are basically fodder for it to try and make it as strong as possible.

Go to a weapon and view build up. That will tell you what your weapon needs to evolve it. Gems work better then the regular stone things and element crystals. The weapons themselves only evolve around 5 times. But you can keep putting into them and make them stronger. You’ll never need to leave a weapon behind. Also timber anything but the dagger breaks it’s gone, that’s it. Poof. You don’t have them yet but you’ll get auto repairs to put in the pocket that will be used automatically. I think it’s at level 5 weapon you can Synth it and turn it into an attachment to make another weapon stronger. Also more weapons are good for if you run out of repair powders you can use another weapon.

So a few things, if you haven't already, don't forget to collect a trio of chests near a tree in the second city before connecting the river, and I'd advise saving before entering a floor with no atla on it, if you do enter a floor that looks odd with no immediate enemies, you can leave for free to save, perfecting a dual grants a free gem, in addition, try fishing with poison apples in the second village, and potato cakes in the 4th, and get the sword for toas as soon as you can before fishing more, if you catch a special fish, weapon chests will automatically tell you the trap, also, if your not against doing a small amount of save scumming, id highly recommend reloading your save if you roll a 5 on your defense boosters, as that cdn genuinely cripple you in the endgame of it happens often, beyond that, try to pay attention to the floor weapon chests spawn on, they typically respawn each time you enter with the same trap, and try to save your premium chickens and waters till the late dungeons, as well as your stamina drinks
