This draft is very wing heavy and that is exactly what we need. L I think our wing depth is our main problem especially for poa defense and positional size
Currently we have picks 8, 13, 24, and 30

So far most projections have us getting to Talaysia Cooper, Ainhoa Risacher, Chloe kitts, and Ashlyn Watkins. Ideally I think we should draft for athleticism or positional size.

I saw this on Twitter last night. It’s a decent read because it gives a lot of context to how Dallas may handle things for the future and lots of stats and data to support the options.

I also didn’t really realize how many players have passed through Dallas in their careers. They really have let a ton of young talent walk out their doors so here’s to hoping they choose to stay and develop them this time around!

Every time i scroll on twitter or youtube or reddit and I see an Image of the Valkyries. My stomach drops. Its like I have PTSD. I haven't been able to sleep that night. It still hurts. It hurts so bad because we had it. We were up 16 and then back up to 5. We fuking had it. DAMIT

The end of the 3rd and 4th flashbacks in my head randomly every night.

And If we won, we would have had a high chance of winning the championship because our next potential opponents (aces, liberty) we had a winning record against and also blew them out multiple times in reg season. they are not a defensive team so most of our players would thrive and we would have had Lan back. Plus we found our defensive identity.

This makes it hurt even more. We would have won it all potentially.

NOW I WANT REVENGE.

I want Valkyries to be SWEPT And Blown out by 50 each game (although i can't watch that series cause i would get hunting flashbacks every time i see them).

I WANT THEM TO FEEL MY DREAD!

And I want them for the Season Opener game next season. Next commissioner please make it happen!

This is why Paige is one of my favorite players and people in general. Not only is she talented but she has personality, charm, heart, a sense of humor, kindness, humility and this right here, sportsmanship and a class act even in defeat. I already had all the respect in the world for Paige and this made me respect her even more. I’m excited to see what she does in the years to come, I’m predicting championships, MVPs and plenty more accolades & accomplishments. Yes i'm so hurt rn BUT Not a soul believed in Dallas. Remember when people were clowning the Fever for losing to us? But we showed up and showed out. A lot of flaws in our team and organisation. Can't lie, right?

Game 2 of the Wings and Valks genuinely got me so stressed lmao. First back-to-back game I've seen in a while and I could have NEVER expected the outcome. Arike put on a great show! Decided to draw her 3 point shot that tied the game. Excited to see more playoff hoops :)

Wings play the Valkyries again today... I hope they both do their best and that we see a great game... But I am highkey a Wings fan and if they manage to win I would be SO happy LOL. The upset would be insane.

Now that our season is officially done I can ask what was the point of upgrading Haley and bringing in Laksa? Jose didn’t give Haley any minutes and I need Laksa off my team immediately. She’s supposedly a shooter but it felt more like a nepotism hire since the shooting didn’t really come. Why were we even collecting guards anyway? With Lan injured why didn’t we grab a post player that could at least rebound? That would’ve helped much more in tonight’s game than having Laksa on the bench.

Also I hated cutting Sug after an injury in practice. Sug should’ve been on that bench sitting right next to Lan and Azzi. Cutting her was so messed up and she is someone who would’ve been good to at least have rights to next season. She was a good backup PG despite not getting minutes.

Wings did everything right in game 2, Jose made the right adjustments especially in who he kept in the game. But it took him acouple minutes to realize it.

For example instead of starting Clark in the second half he still started Maddy till after 2 mins before he came to his senses and benched her the rest of the game. Zaza and Sims, should be the first players coming off the bench for wings. Zaza for her full court press defense, lock down man defense, rebounding and spot up offense / drive. Sims for just her defense cause she don't really do anything right on offense and we dont need her doing her mean-less unsuccessful drives.

Fever lost game 3 because they went away from what they did in Game 2, they stopped doubling aja on the catch, they stopped the relentless ball pressure, being in their grill. So aces were able to get into their offense

Wings can not do that, they have to keep the same ball pressure, actually EVEN MORE ball pressure and energy because they are in valhalla. They need to disrupt valkyries offense EVEN MORE than game 2, disrupt the hand offs and screens. keep guarding ABOVE the three point line, especially for Clark who is guarding Gabby. You can't let gabby walking into a practice 3. That's literally the motion she does in practice. You have to GUARD ABOVE the 3 point line and you have to push her to her LEFT.

Finaly STOP DOUBLING AT THE 3PT LINE. We got killed by wide open threes because we kept doing that and STOP HELPING off shooters other than stokes. STOP LEAVING SHOOTERS. Live with the two over them blowing the roof off with a 3. Only trap at the half court / logo corners.

You must be willing to sit Jess like in G2. Our perimeter defense IMPROVED when you sat her for 4 mins and didn't play her the full regulation like usual and also Awak. As good as Awak is interior wise, she hurts us huge on the perimeter against this team. If Awak cant play start Zaza. If Paige & Arike combine for 60 We win! Be bold and quick to take Risks.
