DQB2 Question Builderdom's best creations
If I take stuff from these, if when I visit the island I see the same one again will it be rebuilt?

Chapter 1 introduces farming, but doesn't give you a set and forget way of harvesting (the big festival at the end is the only time NPc will gather stuff.
Chapter 2 is slow enough and has you build 2 bonfires and 3 juice tanks in a fairly convenient place, so that's pretty good, as well as the easy to access food items being edible raw.
Chapter 3 has potatoes, and those are really annoying to deal with.

I'm playing the Nintendo Switch version. I thought I'd reach an invisible wall flying the buggy south, but it just kept going! Eventually I decided to head back. Does anyone know how far you can go?

I wanted to add my name to superfan base for DQB2. I've logged easily several hundred hours into the game with 4 playthroughs/islands. Been reading all the lore explanations from lilisaurusrex, and all builder tips from Aura and Benxc. One of the best games ever made. Quietly disappointed in Pokopia - hoping the last DLC adds more QOL (did the developors forget how to create a 999 limit from dqb2 instead of the imposed 99 limit from dqb1?). I will echo into the same void as everyone else hoping for a DQB3 in my lifetime.

I came across an article somewhere saying it's possible to go to Battle Atoll. I managed to make the island appear using a save editor, but the game crashes during loading whenever I try to go there. Does anyone know how to do it?

I posted an article that I wrote here about two days ago (and thank you to everyone who checked it out), but rather than just sharing it and disappearing, I thought it might be nice to also share some of the extra pictures of what I built during my most recent playthrough that didn't make it directly into the article itself, either because I didn't have a good place to put them, they showed off projects that weren't quite finished yet, the size of the room made it difficult to get a particularly good picture of it and/or because they were used as part of the collage for the cover image.
I hope you enjoy them, and yes, I know the train in the picture of the tunnel leads directly into a wall; it's meant to be the part of the line that goes underground over towards the Cerulean Steppe, but I haven't actually build that part of it quite yet. 😅

After a few hiccups and help from Aura, I was able to upload my IoA towns online, check it out!
Buildertopia ID: 3cv2UL8ZNBy
Or if you search the tag "Snowy", sort by upload date, and look for a picture of the lodge above, you can also find it as one of the newer entries.
I basically just have 3 towns, located by their respective tablets.
I'm done with the building design, and wanted to work more on modifying the environment, but taking a break from DQB a little bit.

This is an article that I've just released about the second game, exploring how it helps creativity thrive through its various methods of directing the player in their building projects, whilst also still offering enough space for the player to spread their wings and make what they create truly their own.
Whilst the article is primarily about the gameplay, there are some mild spoilers (primarily mentioning the existence of a certain location as well as through some of the pictures), although I've tried to avoid putting anything that is too spoiler-heavy. Nonetheless, I've put a spoiler warning in the article itself just in case.
Hopefully this is okay to share here, and I also hope that I flaired it correctly. If you decide to check it out, thank you very much and I really hope that you enjoy it.

I recently got into Dragon Quest Builders 2 and I'm amazed with how fun and addictive it is. I played Pokopia when it first came out and kept hearing people say it was similar to this game. I am pretty familiar with many other games in this genre so I'm surprised I've never heard of it until then. I was actually hesitant to try dqb2 at first because I wasn't a fan of the art style but I've actually fallen in love with it after playing. I definitely think it's even better than Pokopia. It's incredibly charming and you can tell the devs put their heart and soul into this game. What an underrated gem!

If the game allowed you to take that builders bell and move your town/base anywhere on the story island, where would you choose?
For me..
Moonbrooke: The Rendarak area. You have a giant castle you can refurbish, but i'm actually interested in the valley area, with all those waterfalls and cliffs. Laguna Perfuma, tries to mimick Rendarak, but its simply missing all these mountains and waterfalls.
Khrumbul Dun: The underground lake area. I think a cool thing about this island is how deep the underground area is. You could build an entire town underground. But within it, I like the underground lake section.
Furrowfield: The area by the church. You have a giant church you could refurbish, as well as a forest with giant trees nearby, and a coastal view.
Skelkatraz: not a main story island, but I always thought that the giant caves would be a nice area to build something

Doing yet another playthrough of the story mode, but this time changing it up a little bit by smuggling in a bench from IoA. This means access to materials from previous islands, and a little bit more.
I'm mimicking some of the colorful style housing find in Arctic architecture, and also to provide more color in a rather monotone landscape.
In addition, I'm intentionally planning to stop the story around this part. I like this part of the game as there's a ton of snow, and the snow builds up on your land.. something that's missing in IoA and Buildertopia. It's also right before getting the Beacon of Erdrick, which melts the base's snow away.
In addition, the types of monsters that attack the base, drops a lot of meat, so its a good way of feeding the NPCs.
Also at this point of the game, you potentially have a full set of residents, including those who can farm, and cook as well
Right now I just have a moment it's just a mock up of the front to get some ideas, but I'm starting to lose motivation. Should I just scrap it and try some other ideas? implement color in a different way or a different lay out? I also wanted to try a neoclassical government building style. I am also thinking of changing the roof. I'm not a fan of the connecting roof blocks as they dont render well and disappear in the distance, and for this part of the game, don't accumulate snow.
on a side note, the simple kitchen seems to be a better choice than the castle kitchen, the npcs dont cook as much in the castle.

I am totally new to this game. Should I start with the first dragon quest builders or just get the second one?

I'm making a water park, but I'm running out of ideas... Does anyone have any water park builds I can reference? Thanks!

Dunno if it'll bear any fruit but I made one, so yeah. Love these games to death.

So, when the game tells you you can't go to other islands after talking to the Hairy Hermit, thats only PARTIALLY TRUE. You can't go when you get back to the isle...HOWEVER, you CAN go before you enter the portal at the temple. I just tried it out just now by going to Furrowfield. You can still go to other islands! The game just assumes you won't!

I am currently playing through Moonbrooke at the moment, and it seems I have lost all my flurry feathers. I checked every chest in the castle and I cant find them. Is there anyway to spawn an item through hacks? Or manually locate chest incase I am missing one?

Was a bit rushed but ah well.

I recently learned that Malroth can smuggle items from IoA into other islands while they are still in story mode (usually you are forced to leave your items behind and start anew with items only in the new island).
Looks like Malroth or the residents couldnt break apart other types of crafting stations, but the builders work bench, he broke it and carried it! once he did that, I immediately teleported to the docks and sailed of to Khrumbul Dun. It's going to be fun replaying this chapter using different materials than usual.

So, I'm before they bring me to Skelkatraz in my current playthrough of Builders 2, and to make the Drop Dead Dormitory, it says I need a "Chest of Drawers." The hell does that even mean???

I am making a megabase in the Underground Temple , but I'm not sure why the base only spawns green ghosts. Does someone know how they spawn?

Welcome to Falling Waters!
Finally figured out how to get my ps4 to comply with uploading my old IOA.
Over 650+Hrs, 3 mega builds that got almost, mostly, and kinda finished. The 3 areas are connected via an underground tunnel and rail system. (Access to the deeps can be best found from the buggy warp, then down down down)
Explore Falling Waters, The Great Glass Greenhouse as well as the not even close to finished Castle!
