You don’t like the show because they didn’t feature more CGI which is a personal opinion and fine but don’t act like you’re giving the show or its writing a fair shake.
I gave it a fair shake. It doesn't work. Did I want more spectacle? Sure. It's a show supposedly about a space cop who makes green constructs from his magical rings and fights people who can do similar things in different colours. But if the writing in the finale followed the same quality as it had in the first 5 episodes I would be happy with it as a season 1 of a series. But the show completely takes a logical and moral nosedives in the last 3 episodes.
I thought they did it great, as I know plenty of people that have on a similar path, I think it’s very interesting and made for a more richer story than just laser fights
No one mentioned laser fights. You all are wrong. And the show does permanent damage to John Stewart's character with the writing choices in the finale.
I mean you’re saying you didn’t like the tonal path the show went on, I’m sorry for assuming, I just was going off of people who say that and meant they just wanted a completely different show and anything but that thought in their head was just “wrong”
No. If it was damn good character deconstruction show with sharp writing, a lot less people would complain. Rn what we have is a show which isn't a really good super hero show, nor is it really good high art, prestige show. It is somewhere in the middle, which makes it decent with some major flaws. In my opinion.
