Multiplayer Questions

I should be receiving my physical copy of the game shortly. Before I decide to keep the game, however, I need to know some things about the multiplayer. I don’t like when I’m here, but everything is so vague.

1) Is there couch multiplayer? I’m hearing no, but I need to verify. This was the number 1 reason why I barely played Revolt. I played the PS2 and 360 games to death, but I never even finished the campaign of Revolt.

2) I might be able to live with that, though, because my household has 2 NSWs and 2 NSW2s. I hear this has gameshare. Gameshare is usually pretty bare bones, though. Can cards and decks be shared? If my family is limited to only using Starter Decks across multiple consoles, I don’t see the point.

Because of my excitement for the upcoming game and reduced my family to the older games. They seem to like it a lot, but if I can’t have a good experience with my family what’s the point?

Thank you

  1. No couch multiplayer, need to be online matches with each people having their own copy.

  2. Game share is indeed barebones, only a few predetermined decks to choose for everyone

Blah!

Thank you for the response, though.

I get it for Revolt, it’s handheld, sure. I really don’t get it for this. It’s a shame, my family really liked the demo on Steam. I was even planning on double dipping with the NSW2 and Steam. I can’t justify buying four copies of the game, though, and have the family just staring into their own devices…

Well, the family is loving the PS2 game, at least. I might get the first on Steam and/or Switch because I hear it’s a straight up port with some QOL updates (and has couch multiplayer). Though, the ruleset of the first game had creature types, etc, and was more complicated… I dunno.

Sticking with the PS2 and Saga for now and will pray that either an update comes that allows couch play or that some amazing person comes up with a mod.

Really, who buys four copies of Monopoly to play it at home… rant over

Thank you

Saga is by far the best. The new game is good and fun but it’s also pretty short

I liked Saga quite a bit, but I played the PS2 game the most by far. I gotta find my old Culdcept manga to show the kids, haha. I like how Najaran and Zenneth seem to pop up in other Culdcept games.

I have the new game sitting in my car. Really debating on whether to keep it or not. I’m sure I’ll enjoy the game well enough, but I really wanted it to be a game the family could play together.
