This bottle, when fresh, was not only incredible but also incredibly sweet. To the point that you felt guilty. The adjuncts have faded a tad but not to the point of losing its character.
This was my favorite of the bottles from TBBW2026 and now it's even "better".
Such a great Beer Week! Not sure how many more we're going to have but I'll be attending every one of them until they're done.

Big fan of the Fat Orange Cat artwork and theme. This festbier certainly had a sufficient malt level and subtle hops. Close to what I want from a Marzen but a little heavy for my taste. Has anyone else tried this beer? I'm curious what other people think of the Bavarian Kittens.

First pour of a fresh keg of Western Standard Time, WC IPA.
This is fucking delicious, as always.
Clear beer for the win. (Until my treehouse gets here lol).
Stay thirsty and stay safe my friends.

Orval (2025). Brasserie d'Orval. Pale Ale - Belgian. 6.2% alc.
A funky, cellar-like aroma, with notes of bitter orange peel and a touch of citrus. On the palate, it’s dry and lively, featuring ripe tropical fruits and earthy undertones. The finish is very dry, with a delicate bitterness and a slight, sharp, rustic acidity. After a year in the bottle, the "Brett" has clearly done its work here. Really Cool.

Folkingbrew 28 Orange Sky NZ Pilsner 1/2 £6.15. Shocking. Not a Pilsner in any way. Shameful. Bought at Northern Monk in MCR and was so disappointed. There’s a reason European Pilsners still
Rule.

Brewery Faisan Detroit Michigan.
The microbrewery is shutting down for good at the end of the month. Sad to see a fantastic brewery closing soon.

Another Original Pattern banger! Their can art is as on par with their beer and someone there is a Letterkenny fan.

11 years ago I bought a case to serve at my wedding. I wanted to age it some, so I was able to get 1 year in before the big day. Today marks our 10th anniversary, so I cracked open one of the 5 leftovers.
Basement kept with almost no agitation. Still has a little carbonation.
Man, it's incredible. I fear, though, for the rest and how long these can go before they spoil. Maybe 20 years?

Last month we made the pilgrimage out to Westvleteren, and what was supposed to be a fairly standard pickup run turned into one of the most surreal days of beer I have ever experienced. This was just one day of an 8 day trip, but it still rings out as one of the best.
We started across the street at In de Vrede for a quick lunch, some snacks, and a drink. Through some incredible hospitality and luck (mainly due to our host/guide years long friendship and connections), we were invited across into the abbey itself to sit in on the None prayers at 2:30 PM with the monks. Sitting silently in that chapel while the community chanted was humbling and unforgettable. I snuck a couple of discreet photos, but honestly, do not do this. If ever invited again I'll just sit and enjoy!
Afterward, we walked the grounds a bit and had the privilege chatting with Brother William. Listening to him cut it up and talk about the new abbot election that was upcoming was enlightening. A few of us secretly hope it may be him elected but he did say he was already close to 75 so wouldn't be abbot long even if he was elected.
Then came the logistical challenge. We had pre-ordered several beers: five wooden crates total (one crate of Blond, one crate of 8, and three crates of 12).
Fitting 120 heavy crates into luggage for transatlantic flights was pure Tetris. A couple of us brought dedicated corrugated bottle shippers with custom foam cutouts, while the rest was meticulously padded with bubble wrap and packed tight into hard-shell checked bags.
Happy to report that all five cases landed safely back in the US with zero breakage and zero casualties.

Hi everyone,
I'm a massive, lifelong Terminator collector based in Wisconsin, USA. I recently found out about the official "The Terminator" Hazy IPA released by Neon Raptor Brewing Co. in the UK, but due to US alcohol import and customs restrictions, I can't get the actual beer shipped here.
Since I just want the awesome artwork for my memorabilia shelf, I am looking to buy an empty, rinsed-out can from anyone in the UK who has access to it.
I am more than happy to cover the full cost of international shipping to the US, plus a bit extra for your time and trouble.
Collector's request: If you haven't opened the can yet, it would be amazing if you could drain it by punching a small hole in the bottom so the top pull-tab stays intact for display, but I will happily take a regularly opened can too! Please send me a DM if you can help a fellow fan out. Thanks so much!

Had a sip of a stout once and almost vomited from the taste. Had wine once and it was eh, and hard liquor twice which burned like a thousand suns.
I am big into cigars and pipe tobacco so I am interested in the huge world of craft beers, I love finding flavor notes and tasting complexities and weird things. I didnt realize beer had this huge market and variety like cigars and pipe tobacco.
I did a bunch of research into the best "categories" of beer to try as a beginner, and I came up with this list of 6 to start after checking my local stores stock.
Notch Kolsch
Notch Pilsner
Black Hog Cold Pizza Italian Pilsner
Alagash White
Jack Abby's House Lager
(A cider, just because I love apples) 1911 Honeycrisp Cider
Does this sound like a good choice?

Has anyone tried this one before? I did a beer review on it and it kind of was really underwhelming! I liked Brewery Ommegang’s other beers I’ve had and thought this one would follow suit but kind of missed (to me at least).
Coming in at 7.6% and being an imperial stout with chocolate and peanut butter I was expecting a little thicker bodied beer, and a little more flavor packed in. I felt like the beer tasted very light and slightly watery, while still giving a small chocolate and peanut butter but very very small amounts.. overall you get the taste but I was expecting (as the title says) a “Reese’s Beer” but it’s far far from that!
Has anyone tried this and thought the same? Did I get a bad batch that wasn’t really that good? What do you think?

Stopped in here on our Scotland adventure back in July. Awesome micro brewery located in a village called Spean Bridge. The brewer onsite that day was extremely welcoming. Was served a pint and then brought us through their small facility giving my wife and I a tour.
We loved it. It’s built inside of an old 19th century converted farming building. Was a lovely off the beaten path stop for us. Beer was good and the conversation with the brewer was even better. We lucked out that day as it was midweek and we were the only visitors at that time.

Bought some on Friday and for some reason it did not impress me. Cracked one open this evening and now it tastes as it should. Most likely due to the fact that I was already on my way to La La Land by the time I cracked it on Friday.
Would drink again.
