You may have noticed that this subreddit is now marked as 18+ (Mature Content).
Unfortunately, Reddit is currently creating a difficult situation for many cosplay communities.

• subreddits are being labeled as 18+, because cosplayers who post there also share NSFW content in other subreddits.
• Any cosplayer posting any content in an 18+ subreddit gets labled as 18+
• If subs don't want this to happen, they have to ban ALL +18 accounts.
• Any account, post or subreddit labled as 18+, does not get recommended by the algorithm

This goes against the very purpose of this subreddit. We created this space so that NSFW creators could share their SFW cosplay work without being judged for what they do elsewhere. At the same time, SFW creators who post here may now find themselves labled as 18+ by the subreddit receiving an 18+ label.

Since both SFW and NSFW creators are part of this community, we felt it was important to let everyone know what's happening. It honestly sucks.

There seems to be growing pressure across various platforms to isolate anyone involved with NSFW content, regardless of whether the content they are currently sharing is completely safe for work. We've seen similar trends on other platforms like Gumroad or Instagram before, and now it is happening here as well.

We love SFW + NSFW cosplayers... even lewd cosplayers enjoy making actually "nice" SFW cosplays.
Reddit's now saying they are not allowed to interact with "decent" society and share SFW.

Please spread awearness and help us fight for some fairness.

(FYI We've been trying to get a sensible response from admins on this for almost a month already)

Hi everyone!

The rules are strictly enforced within our subreddit!

Here's a few additional tips before posting:

• Please make sure the post is titled properly. We ALWAYS want credits to the right cosplayer in the title. Especially if you're not the cosplayer and you're posting someone else.

• This subreddit is SFW only! Please do not push the limits of what SFW is. Don't play on the limits either. We are strict.

• We do not accept OCs, and alternative non official versions of characters. This applies for bunny suits, bikinis, succubus, casual clothes, nurses, school uniforms versions and so on.

• Advertise within our subreddit is strictly prohibited. Any kind of link to anywhere else will warrant a warning and a short ban. After 3 times, you will be permanently out.

This subreddit was made so EVERYONE can post their cosplays. Meaning, quite literally EVERYONE.

Any body types, ethnicity, age, skill levels, genders, jobs/hobbies, and so on.

-- We are forced to especially mention that even cosplayers having a NSFW profile for whatever reason are allowed to post here, as long as the content they post within the subreddit is SFW and follows the general rules --

Having a NSFW profile does not forbid anyone to post here. Any reports for this particular reason will be ignored. Don't waste your time.

Thank you for your understanding, and post your best cosplays! ☺️
