A beginner runner, started running diligently for the past 4 months, approx 2-3times per week for a 5/10k per session. Currently, using apple watch which I borrowed from my wife, my “running app” is Strava as I am a premium member, I love the gamification aspect of it and the strava face in the apple watch is OK I guess.
I am contemplating to have a real sports (running) watch, as I feel Apple Watch lacks certain charm that a running watch provides (ran alongside a friend with his garmin and the watch acts much more than just showing metrics, ie: beepers for I am assuming pace alert?)
In my country the obvious (and easily available choice) are Garmin and Coros, and my eye is on Coros Pace 4 as I like the size more than the pro, and have no need on any advantages pro gives anyway.
My question is will it be a significantly different experience, having a Coros while running vs an Apple Watch ?
Does Coros actually track your run better ? Act as a virtual pacer ?
Does having a Coros and still using Strava (is it even possible in a Coros) a valid idea ? Or Strava is too streamlined and built in face from Coros is the way to go?
I have watched countless reviews on youtube but got tired as there are just too many advertisement and biased reviews pushing you on certain direction.
