5 quart Dutch oven
How much liquid would it hold if I was making soup? Meaning how big of a batch of soup could I make in a 5 quart enamel Dutch oven?

that's the theoretical max but you wouldn't fill it to the brim with soup, it'll splash when you stir. i'd say 4 to 4.5 quarts of actual soup, which is plenty if you cooking for a few days

You wouldn't fill it to the brim. There are those of us out there who frequently cross the line between bravery and stupidity and end up with a messy stove top every time. Don't you judge me!

As long as you don't judge my stove after every time I heat up milk to make oats.

What is life worth if you don't challenge yourself. Youngest of 8 kids,my soup is limited by the size of the pot I choose lol

The more soup you make today the less you'll have to cater to people tomorrow. Doing that extra 6 servings of soup is an easy task. Fill that pot until it's dangerous.

It depends on the soup.
You can make 5 quarts of soup in a 5 quart Dutch oven if you carefully stirred and kept an eye on boiling over, but without any further context who knows?
Are you trying to cook a recipe that calls for 5 quarts of added liquid to other ingredients because in that case you’re going to have trouble.

I would say safely, 4 quarts?
