Food Website Recommendations
I am a college student who wants to eat healthy and simply. I would prefer to support smaller websites/business. I know NYT has been known to take credit/recipes from smaller recipe creators so trying to support small/local and avoid big corporate cooking

Nagi from Recipe Tin Eats and her mum at Recipe TinEats Japan. Nagi is a very popular Australian blogger and has published 2 best selling cookbooks but is not corporate . She also runs a foodbank . Recipes are always good - economical, healthyish and veru reliable.

I have used Recipe Tin Eats for years and everything has been great. I recently got the print version of her two cookbooks and have fun flipping through for ideas. There is a good mix of weeknight dinners and special occasion recipes. I also second the recommendation of budget bytes. I use that one for affordable lunches and simple dinners.

What kind of things are you looking for?
Is it pure health foods/regional dishes/how to cook?
I can recommend a few UK based things :-)

Cook Once Eat all Week cookbook.
It’s a meal prep cookbook that makes meal plans for a family for a week. This will be way more than you need for one person. But it’s easy to reduce the volume of the recipes, or split them into multiple containers and freeze. All the recipes are gluten free, higher protein and higher in fiber.
I do this for two people and use glass dishes with lids to make them ahead and freeze.
Going to thaw one out tonight for dinner.

I cannot recommend Budget Bytes enough. Tested recipes using common ingredients with a focus on nutrition and value. I’ve never had a miss when using their recipes and I recommend it to people all the time.
