Callback 8020 pictures
Hi, is Commodore releasing software to be able to get the phots off this phone automatically? I notice they can control the new C64 over WiFi, so i assume something will be available to get picture off the phone and music on it outside of using the cloud?

Looks interesting, however are looking for a way to send the images auctomaically to a outside store we control. iCloud works but its a double step (phone > cloud > PC), picture deleted are removed from the PC, however we have rolling backups.

so, you sync to pc and then backup to a generic file storage (like backblaze)?

We use a propriety (none cloud based) backup system with double encryption and inside a third VPN) housed in data centres we built and own.. so there not cloud as you imply, they are housed on servers we have in writing have no back doors (which also do not have any cloud connections). I want to pull the image moving from the mobile device in to the same VPN setup, for which the CallBack seems to support that (likely to drop abit of money in to one for testing)

As the phone will be using Sailfish OS, do check out other apps that you can find on the two community stores that have an available web page: Chum and Openrepos.
Chum is basically F-Droid for Sailfish OS (sans letting you add new repos). Apps are built straight from source and distributed centrally by the team managing the store. Openrepos is basically the wild west, where everyone can publish whatever they want (if you stick with the most popular apps you'll be fine though). And there's the Jolla store (or whatever Commodore will adopt) which is the official store and everything is thoroughly tested. Not everything can be open source from there if that's what you're looking for though.

Usb-C charging cable to plug in to your PC would be the old school way
