Not a prank: Drivers pay as little as 97 cents per gallon in gas war between 2 stations
Long lines and several hours, but some were able to fill up for less than $1/gallon. All it took was a heated rivalry.

I'm looking over my ballot and have a question about the Cobb SPLOST, or Special Purpose Local Options Sales Tax.
I'm all for reinvestment into infrastructure and agree with many of the items listed, but the police and technology sections give me pause. Can someone help?
Is there anything preventing this money from going to Flock surveillance? Could "safety infrastructure" just be code for "AI camera surveillance network"?

My husband found out today during early voting that his voter registration address was changed on 9/30/26 but he was not the one that changed it. We have lived in Cobb county for 20 years. The address change was to an apartment in Clayton county. The election office showed him the change request with his personal data and signature.
Who/how can we report this to investigate further?
He called Brad raffensburger's office but they had no resolution for him. Clueless. The attorney general office advised to file a complaint on the web which he will. Is there a nongovernmental agency that investigates this type of fraud?

so I got this tattoo around three years ago and it’s supposed to be my childhood stuffed cat that I’ve had since I was three. I wanted her to look kind of Tim Burtoney and kind of creepy almost but I just hate the detail on it and the hairs on it make it look kind of phallic. Some people say it’s not that bad but I’m really coming to hate it so if anyone knows any place in Atlanta or Kennesaw that does good coverups or fixes please let me know.

I know the data center ordinance, particularly the Bells Ferry property, impacts folks not in Marietta proper. Here's the update.

I’ve been following the case but I have not seen any news updates lately. I checked the docket for the status of her cert petition to the Georgia Supreme Court—looks like it was unanimously denied on September 22, 2026. That means her termination appeal is likely final (she lost).
I think this paves the way for the federal court to consider CCSD’s motion to dismiss the federal complaint.
For all the publicity this case got initially, it’s frustrating that no news outlets are covering these developments. Seems like Rinderle’s counsel at SPLC would do a press release, or something. But they haven’t updated their last news report on July 2 when the cert petition was pending.

I’ve never filed a TPO ever. My babydaddy girlfriend keeps contacting me with very negative feedback I would say. She has made a text now number to send negative text, describing her “private” part.
She has sent me messages through her main account on Instagram saying negative things about me and my son . Bashing me , bashing my weight, making skin color remarks as “Black B*” or “ Fat Black B” ….. I’m not even fat ☹️… lol
I did try to reach out with her after my son’s father tried to sleep with me when they were going through an argument, and when I did tell her, she still made negative remarks and after that I didn’t attempt to contact her ever again…..
She also made an account in the middle of the night last night around 12 AM. Sending me pictures and videos of my son father,
She sent another message at 3 AM telling me how my son’s father doesn’t take care of us and he doesn’t want me or my kid.
She sent another message around 7 AM calling me a “Big B*”
I did tell her to please stop contacting me and then I did proceed to block her. Also, text my son’s father to screenshots and asked him for both of them to please leave me alone.
I’m asking because I want to know how to file a restraining order against her, even possibly my son‘s father if capable.
I’m currently in Cobb County, I live near the Braves Stadium so I don’t know if that’s Cobb or just Smyrna if there’s a difference….??? please tell me the very first steps. I need to do all the way to the end.!!! Thanks!

Hi everyone! I’m considering purchasing a home in Mableton and would love to hear from people who currently live there, have lived there recently, or considered moving there but ultimately decided against it.
For current and former residents, what has your experience been like living in Mableton? What do you enjoy most about the area, and what, if anything, do you wish you had known before moving there?
For those who purchased homes in Mableton, what factors influenced your decision to buy there, and how has your experience compared with your expectations?
And for those who considered Mableton but chose another area, what factors influenced your decision, and where did you ultimately decide to live?
I’m especially interested in hearing about the overall quality of life, neighborhoods, sense of community, amenities, accessibility, and any changes you’ve noticed in the area over time.
I’d appreciate hearing different perspectives, both positive and negative, as I explore whether Mableton would be a good fit for me.
Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

Meet FCAS foster Amy! 💖 This 7yo, 60lb (looks smaller, she’s muscular!) shepherd mix girl is certified BFF material! 👯♀️ She’s been our easiest foster thus far and has been such a polite, happy houseguest. She’s incredibly affectionate, will lean in for hugs, and loves to stand and put her paws on your shoulders if you’re seated eye level with her. 🥹 She makes the cutest little grunting noises when she snuggles and her head tilt game is STRONG! 😆
She may technically be a senior (suspect she may be a bit younger), but she’s still got plenty of pep in her step! She’s super playful, loves fetch, and has a blast running around the yard and playing with our resident Shepsky. 🐾 She also settles quickly, sleeps through the night, LOVES to cuddle, and doesn’t show signs of separation anxiety (only short-lived protest whines and quickly gives up 😆). All in all, 10/10 good girl! 🥰
✅ Potty trained - no accidents! 🤞🏽
✅ Leash trained - pulls, but manageable
✅ Crate trained
✅ Non-destructive
✅ Dog friendly
✅ Excellent temperament
✅ Knows commands - sit, stay, shake (both paws)
✅ Good recall
✅ Treat/food motivated
✅ Non-reactive (treats, toys, food, etc)
✅ Easily handled
✅ Easy to bathe/dry/brush/trim nails
✅ Spayed
✅ HW negative
Amy’s kryptonite? Cats. 😩 She’s shown pretty strong prey drive with our senior kitty, so she would do best in a feline-free home. 🐈⬛
We also don’t know how she does with kids, but I imagine the only issue might be that she can get excited and could accidentally cause little children to topple over. 😅
She has an Embark DNA test in progress, so curious to see what her breed mix is…👀
Amy is currently being fostered in Kennesaw, GA and available for adoption through LifeLine Animal Project Fulton County Animal Services. Click the link below to schedule a meet & greet with her or feel free to message me! 👋🏽

Can anyone recommend indoor places with large windows overlooking nature? I love places like this and would like to find a few nice spots to relax in sometimes.

It can be restaurants, coffee shops, bars, hotel lobbies, libraries, I'm open to anything. Cheap spots to enjoy a coffee and read/work are ideal though.
I also started this thread in the Atlanta forum where there are lots of great suggestions, but I'm hoping to find some closer to home here in Marietta.

I was hoping to get some recommendations for places around Cobb to do a photo session of an individual. We are not professional photographers, but are looking for some interesting places to take photos.

Hi there! I’m currently living in an apartment in Smyrna and am closing on my first house in November in Kennesaw 🥳
Right now in Smyrna, I am in the GA Power area and in the new house I will be in the Cobb EMC area. Has anyone else gone through a similar transition from one to another and have any insight to share? For instance, frequency of power outages & response time or significant price differences.
Any insight will be greatly appreciated! Also if anyone has any other tips or feedback to share concerning my move from Smyrna to Kennesaw, please do share!
