Mod Post Conduct Notice and Rules Reminder
Hello all,
While we celebrate the ALDS win, the mod team has noticed a portion of the community going into the White Sox subreddit to either troll, talk down to them, or argue. This is, at minimum, a serious lack of class, and quite frankly I'm disappointed in people. You're better than this.
Rule 2 in the community is to not go to other teams' subs and troll them or provide links.
Going forward, we will also be removing posts showcasing posts in other team's subreddits. This is a Guardians subreddit, not a "look at how mad/upset this subreddit is" subreddit.
Stay out of other teams subreddits. We've already caught wind of already plenty of people going over to their house and shitting in their living room, and people have caught bans because of it. Just because someone is shitting in OUR living room doesn't make it ok to do it back. It makes both places unpleasant and makes us look like sore winners.
If you see someone coming over to troll, please report the post, and it will be dealt with.

Setting a record for division-lead collapse but beating us in the WC anyway.
Losing a 6-game lead (thanks to the Rockies), sweeping the wild card, and blowing a 2-0 lead (plus setting 9-inning strikeout records) at home?

I'm a big believer in karma/juju/whatever. Seems like every single time in my life I have trash talked or made fun of another team, mine has completely shit the bed.
I remember dunking on Warriors fans after we came back from down 3-1, just to watch the Indians fall apart in the same way. Made fun of the Steelers for losing on TNF and the Browns lay an egg against the awful Jets.
We don't need the bad energy coming our way. Feel happy about beating another team, but do it here. Talking shit or trolling will just fuck us over in the end.

Not gonna lie. Reddit put a white Sox fan saying Cleveland is a bad city on my feed and I left a gif from major league.
And I’d do it again. No one talks about how crappy this city is except us. Just like no one talks about how fat and ugly my wife is besides me.

Frankly all this tracking of shit between two living rooms is unacceptable. Nonetheless, it is nice to see that classless fecks took themselves out. Was also neat to hear that team enjoyed Sox music track and even did some singalong.

I am in a fantasy baseball league with five other guys from work and a few I don’t know from other states that grew up with the friend who started it. I am a Clevelander and Guards fan who moved to New Mexico 12 years ago. One of the members is a Dodgers fan who grew up here so he and I are the only two still fighting this year. We have a Mets fan, and an O’s fan at work. We sometimes get into some good natured jabbing but are always respectful of each other. We are first and foremost all baseball fans. I won’t engage in comments that get personal nor will I stoop to the level of those who do.

Forests burn in New Mexico, but as I tell friends back home, we have all four seasons here in Santa Fe and every one is better than in Cleveland.

I had to unfollow this sub for a couple days because I was tired of seeing people post about their sub. Reverse the roles and this sub would’ve been acting the exact same.

I can do without the lecture. Cite the rule, and do whatever mods do. In your capacity as a mod, expressing frank disappointment and telling people they’re “better than this” is condescending, self-important, and is an overreach. Do I go and read the pain? Sure. Do I interact, no, because I wouldn’t want them to do that here and golden rule or whatever.
