Danny, I understand you guys are doing your best when it comes to cheating, but you could please add a feature for >1 year members to only be paired with accounts that are 1 year or older? Many players who have been on the site for years and have been members dread facing that account that is 2300 and was created 1 day ago, because there's a very good chance they're not exactly playing fairly. Cheating almost disappears completely when you play accounts that are 1 year or older, and I think such a feature for paying members is only fair, given how much we support your company. Please consider this, as this suggestion has been made many times on reddit and many people feel that this feature should be implemented.

That'll cost an extra $9,99/month. Can't expect them to do that for free, can you?

what does Chess com premium provide that is not already available for free in other places??

Why does chess.com keep paywalling more and more features including game review which you already only get 1 free a day, while other sites like lichess don't have to.

An intriguing discussion regarding sandbagging can be found in chess.com's Cheating Forum.

The individual who initiated the thread (not myself) reported flaws and bugs in the cheating detection system two years ago, and these issues remain unresolved. This individual continues to provide instances of blatant sandbagging.

Why have these problems not been addressed after two years? Chess.com asserts that they have been actively working on these matters since December but still no results.

Additionally, he expressed dissatisfaction with your insufficient communication regarding these issues. What makes it so challenging for you to engage with your members?

Danny answered your question during the show. He said that they are working on it but it's harder to reach the level of certainty with regard to sandbagging that they have with regard to cheating.

Hey! I just wanted to comment that I know this has been frustrating. Danny responded on the show, but basically, there is a new system being implemented to handle this kind of poor sportsmanship and abuse. Because it's a larger system being implemented across many types of abuse, it's taken time to build the infrastructure. We are close and expect some of the desired sandbagging protections to start rolling out in a month or so.

Any chance of adding regular online users as moderators via some kind of vetting process? Stalling, cursing and other insulting/unsportsmanship like conduct seems to be on the rise.

Moderators are regular users. They do what they can. There aren't very many of them relative to the size of the user base.

Can you fix the awards? A bunch of them are bugged and have been for yearrrrss

Any chance of a verified account system tied to real life ID? And a verified player pool/tournaments? You toyed with it a while back then dropped it.

Do you have plans on adding more AI features like Aimchess offers, where we can learn from our very games, have move trainer and so on?

Are there any major updates coming to game review? Right now it seems the engine “explanations” are confusing more than they are helpful, and I think the engine depth could be improved.

Are you going to implement emotes like in Clash Royale?

u/Popular_Plantain_286 Sep 01 '26

Why should free users should stay on chesscom and not move to lichess?

Danny, when will you author the book titled, Hikaru's face #X. You are the prominent export on this matter and the people need a reference book with a witty preface from you.

Everyone please upvote this so Danny the scholar receives the question. 🙏
