Hello! My name is Jakob, and I'm currently enrolled in the GAT3 music studio recording academy. We've been tasked with seeking out Charlotte-based acts with a single or cover geared up to be recorded by me and my peers—completely free! Recording and tracking will take place over select Saturdays from a few weeks from now to late Nov/early Dec. If your band is interested, feel free to reach out either here or on my Instagram, @ jakornonthecob. Any genre will do! Thanks :)

I wanted to share this with the Charlotte music community — I work with Ariella & Nicolaas, a husband-and-wife duo who will be performing at Stage Door Theater on Friday, November 6 at 7 PM.

Their music blends soul, singer-songwriter, jazz, and Spanish-influenced guitar, with Ariella’s smoky vocals and Nicolaas’ expressive guitar playing. Their shows are intimate and really centered around the music and the connection with the audience.

If you enjoy discovering independent artists and live music in a beautiful, intimate setting, I think you’ll really enjoy this show.

Here’s a live performance of “Joy” if you’d like to check them out:

And if you come to the show, be sure to say hello afterward — Ariella & Nicolaas usually hang out by the merch table and love meeting everyone.

This Saturday, Sept. 26th, 9pm start time,…Snug Harbor has one of the best shows in the area. The talent and musicianship will not disappoint.
