A bit of shameless self-promotion, but I'm just really excited about this. I'm the creator of the Dylan May Cry mod for CONTROL Resonant, which brings the combat closer to Devil May Cry (as you could probably guess from the name).

I just released an update that adds a brand new ability to the game: Trick. It includes, Air Trick, Trick Down and Trick Up, essentially how they are in DMC5 which I used as the basis.

This update also includes motion inputs, where you can assign any attack to forward, back, forward/back, back/forward + light or heavy attack inputs. Together with the mod's existing light and heavy customizable combos, it really opens up the combat.

Lastly, the update includes a Hold Lock-on option, also akin to Devil May Cry, which makes the motion inputs and Trick usage seamless to weave in and out of combos.

Insomniac currently has the licence to make Marvel games but IMO they have misused the IP and ruined them and it got me thinking.

Can you imagine if Platinum Games got the Marvel licence to make games?

Imagine Platinum Games a stand alone game with:

Black Panther

Moon Knight

Daredevil

Venom

Blade

That would be sick as heck, every game they would make would be sick from a combat perspective, if it`s any game studio that should get the Marvel IP it`s Platinum Games.

What character would you like to see in a game made by Platinum Games?

One of my friends recently said it plays more like a PlayStation spiderman game than something like DMC, guess this has me wanting more opinions on whether this game really is CaG adjacent at all or if it’s more of a super hero sandbox?
