Fan repair advice Remove remote controller

I have a 2013 Hampton Bay fan. Lost remote, and the fan is currently in the OFF mode. I think I can remove the remote controller, and then I can turn the fan on and off by the pull chain.

I have done a lot of house electrical work myself, but just an amateur. I want to make sure I understand the wiring if I remove the controller. Can somebody assist on how I have to rewire it?

Live in to the light and fan power wires, assuming you have pull chains to control those

Please, explain to me like I’m five.

Once the module is removed, is it black to black. And then white to blue?

House white goes to white on the fan, which is already connected. Can't see for certain what your house 120v is, I would assume black, that will connect to the blue and black wires to give power to both the fan and light. They have separate leads so that you could have separate controls.
