I caught this in Pennsylvania. I looked everywhere online but can't seem to find anything that properly matches the coloring and fins. It was an almost fully white carp that got a little muddy while being unhooked.

What do you think could be the reason? A hooklink that's too short? The wrong bait? Something else?
This has been happening to me a lot lately. I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

Im looking to get a new set of fox horizon x3-s 12ft 3.00lb test curve, does anyone have them and if you do what distances are you casting with them usually with and without pva bags and what oz lead? How does it feel playing carp? Im usually fishing to 50 yards but sometimes Iโll be at the odd venue where Iโm fishing up to 80 yards. Iโm wondering whether to get the 3.00lb or the 3.50lb test curve. Let me know what you guys think

After several frustrating sessions of completely blanking, I have had a great past couple days. Yesterday I caught 4 good carp and today I had 7. Hereโs a couple from the past couple days

I've been struggling to catch one and I'm going to probably use a hair rig to try and catch one

I used to in this creek before and would make pods of jump out of the water so its gotten pretty bad.. there are also a lot of big gar and snapping turtles especially for the area.

I'm a salmon/trout angler but I'm in the Czech Republic and I will try a private fishing pond tomorrow near Mikulov. Got this setup from a local shop. I've watched tons of videos and read a lot of info so I think I'm steady.
Still, I would appreciate any advice :)

How should I go about catching this huge 40-50 lb coy in this pond heโs extremely smart spooks easy and I tried corn and bread today and he didnโt seem interested but was feeding on the bottom

Never caught a carp before. The pack bait is Outdoor Boysโs recipe; panko breadcrumbs, strawberry jello, and sweet corn. Size 6 bait holder hook with 3 pieces of sweet corn tied to it with a string, I believe itโs called a hair jig. Does this look alright? Anything youโd adjust? Iโve gotten 0 bites so far after throwing this in 4 different ponds.
For anyone who might ask, Iโm throwing this on 20lb mono leader on 15lb braid main line, 7ft med-heavy rod.

Pretty little 17lb common from the weekend.
Caught on a 10ft black widow 3.5lb TC rod using 2oz lead and medium PVA filled with mixed pellet and strawberry boilie. .
The issue is rods like an iron bar doesn't give much even on this fish. This was the largest of 20 carp, most being 7lbs to 12lbs in weight. There's the odd 25lb fish knocking about but for most of my catches rod has very limited action.
As the fish surfaced later on I used a 1.25tc 12ft omega floating bread. Hooked a 10lb common and it was the best fight of the day by far, rods bent double. Felt under gunned for that fish but got it in.
Is there a happy medium that will give more action but still work with PVA.
Casting distances are short so I'm not killing the rods at the moment but it's still a fair weight being flung.

So I started Carp fishing about 2 months ago. Idk if itโs my spots or what but I havenโt had a ton of success. I fish around east Texas like Lake Livingston, lake Raven and the Trinity river. Iโve had a couple successful sessions where Iโve caught a handful of small buffalo and carp in the lake Livingston spillway. Most of my sessions result in no carp but I also donโt go to the same spot twice in a row. I bounce around all over the place. For my hook bait, I use tiger nuts on a hair rig, and I use back bait on a method feeder. For my back bait I use panko, strawberry jello and corn mixed. Anything particular I could be doing wrong? Or am I just not fishing where the fish are?

I've got a deeper pro+ and I've boat the range extender kit together with the bait boat mount.
My boat has a single propeller + rudder, so mounting the sonar in the middle of the boat is not ideal because of the noise the propeller jet can cause.
Unfortunately, my boat struggles with the sonar attached on the side of the boat, something which is not happening if I just use a piece of string to pull the sonar with the boat.
Any suggestions to improve? Did I just buy something which is not usable?

Hello everyone!
I have a Solar SP Spider Compact bivvy. Unfortunately, I bought the bivvy first and only then checked whether the accessories were still available.
I love this bivvy, but I need an overwrap and a groundsheet. Maybe someone has a spare one for sale, or knows where I could find them? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Anybody know any good spots to target carp close to Huntsville Tx? Iโve tried Trinity river but snags are always a problem it seems like and I hate losing rigs. The most success Iโve had is below lake Livingston dam Trinity river but itโs kind of a drive and most of the carp and buffalo I catch in there are small. I wanna get into some 10+ lb carp but any time I try new spots I just catch a couple channel cat.
