Gross, I guess I have to root for the Brewers.

Stand firm. Never want any NLC team to win. Only exception is a Yankee/buccos series where the pirates are actually making history.

My family is from Chicago. Most of my cousins are Palehoser fans. They’re already insufferable this season so they might as well win it all.

They deserve to be after what jerry's put them through the last two decades

Guardians/Sox aren't done yet, but I'm choosing Rays vs Brewers as my preferred WS matchup.
- Any scenario where the Dodgers lose is already a win
- It pisses off the big money national broadcasts because it's two small market teams
- No matter who wins, one team walks away with their first WS championship in the team's history
If the Guardians win, I'd be cool with a Guardians/Brewers...but I think they're losing to the Sox

Milwaukee - LA has the makings of a good NLCS.

u/EchoedJolts J-Run Don't Walk 6d ago
Yeah, I'm hoping for a solid series, just one where LA can't three-peat

u/Gary30752 6d ago
I wouldn't mind seeing the Dodgers get stomped, but I'll settle for them simply losing.

I just want the AL team to win. I’m fine with any of them.

I'm rooting for the Brewers. I would like to watch the WS this year, I didn't watch one pitch of last year's WS. I just don't watch anything involving the Dodgers. And I won't be watching the League Championship this year.

u/Gary30752 6d ago
Even though the Brewers will be in it?
2
u/Icy_Entertainment706 6d ago
No I will not watch anything involving the Dodgers. So I'm hoping Milwaukee wins the LCS so I can watch the WS this year.

I was talking about last year - hopefully the Dodgers sweep the fucking Brewers

Fedde and Hicks give up the lead. Grichuk struck out with runners in scoring position.
Some things never change.

u/Gary30752 6d ago
Really don't have any favorite teams left in the mix. Ordinarily I might be able to get behind the Dodgers, but not after they beat Atlanta. I'm almost in the fuck the Dodgers camp. Sorry, Dad. 🤣

white sox are easy to root for imo

u/Gary30752 6d ago
I usually default to the NL, but if Milwaukee can't get it done against the Dodgers I'll be in the AL camp.

Imagine my surprise to see Cardinals legend Erick Fedde on the mound in the first inning of a decisive playoff game.

I'm curious what a "low quality post" is. If someone could define that for me I'd appreciate it.

MLB is proposing a return to 1960 with a 154-game season.
I'd like to go further by removing ABS, automatic runners, and wild cards.
3
u/Poofsta I tell you hwhat 6d ago
I want to keep it at 162 but make everyone do 8 double-headers.
1
u/Gary30752 6d ago
It's an interesting proposal. It includes a day off every week, 7 game division series, better playoff scheduling, and the top 2 seeds get to pick their opposition in the first round.

Game got out of hand pretty quick for the White Sox.

As someone has observed, it just takes one pitcher having a bad day in a bullpen game to lose it.

I’m just going to say it.. I thought Spider-Man Brand New Day was mediocre. Of the 4 it ranks 4th for me.

u/Nocktoberfest 6d ago
Idk man I thought the 2nd one in the series was pretty damn lame

u/Iluvursister69 Bring Back Danny Mac 6d ago
Far from home? I liked that one. They all rank in order for me.

u/Clueless_in_Florida 6d ago
I haven’t seen any of them.

u/Iluvursister69 Bring Back Danny Mac 6d ago
They’re all good, this one just less good than the rest.
1
u/Clueless_in_Florida 5d ago
I might give them a try one day. Do I need to watch them in order? Do they require background knowledge?
1
u/Iluvursister69 Bring Back Danny Mac 5d ago
I would watch them in order but other than that it’ll all explain itself. The first one is the best one of the series so if you watch any it should be that one. Michael Keaton as the antagonist and he’s great.

I think I’m at the point where I hope we get a long lockout. Even if we rebuild the right way we just won’t be able to compete with the dodgers. The fact they can sign Kyle Tucker for that kind of money, him be god awful, bat him at the bottom of the order and not be bothered shows the MLB is officially broken. You’re delusional if you think any other team besides the Yankees and Mets can do that. Bring it on.

u/Gary30752 6d ago
Honestly, the Dodgers weren't all that impressive against the Braves. Yeah, they won the Series but for all that money they seemed pretty lame. Yamamoto was the only guy who really stood out, at least to me.

u/Detective_Dietrich What? 6d ago
Five teams remaining in the playoffs. Three of those five: Milwaukee (best record in baseball), Tampa (best record in the AL), and Cleveland.
We need a salary cap! Small market teams can't compete!
