“Elbows Up” List of Canadian Cannabis Companies

Based on community input and available industry information, here is the working list of Canadian cannabis companies that we can be comfortable supporting during a trade war with the United States.

Canadians love to smoke weed with our American friends. This is about economic sovereignty, not division—keeping cannabis money circulating in Canada rather than enriching foreign investors.⸻

Review Cap Junky - Greyscales

Picked this up last week, just getting around to finishing it today.

6G / $35

THC: 30%
Terps: 2.9%
Pack date: September 3rd

The smell comes off as a mix of three things: gas, soap, and Rockets candy (the ones you'd give away on Halloween night, sorry to all the Rockets lovers, I used to just give them to my ma!). Flodega used to have Hawaiian Fanta, and this reminds me of it so much.

gas smell isn't crazy strong, but there's slight fuel note in the background. The rest reminds me of a Dove soap bar mixed with a sweet but tart candy smell. it isn't that typical fruity "candy" sweetness. It's more of a artificial candy smell with a soapy side to it.

Dense, skinny looking buds with a lighter colour to the flower. They weren't the biggest or chunkiest buds, but they had a nice structure to them. Moisture was great, no complaints there. The flower wasn't overly dry or too sticky, just a nice balance that made it easy to work with.

the aroma didn't translate much into the joint. It didn't taste bad by any means, but I wasn't getting that same sweet candy and soapy smell on the dry pull or when lit.

I've read its supposed to be a 50/50 hybrid, but personally, I found it more towards the sativa side. No couchlock, no heavy eyes, just a pretty strong head buzz.

It was definitely more of a heady feeling for me. I didn't feel overly sluggish or like I needed to sit down and do nothing. The head buzz was the most noticeable part of the experience, and the high lasted quite a while

For something sitting at "30%" THC, I was expecting it to hit pretty hard, and it had some strength behind it, it wasn't the kind of buzz that completely knocked me out which isn't bad.

Final Thoughts: Did I like it? Yeah! Would I buy it again? Honestly, I'm not too sure.

It's one of those strains where I enjoyed the experience, but nothing really pushed me towards wanting to immediately grab another pack. Not a bad product at all, just one that didn't completely win me over. (I am very picky)

Thanks for reading !

Cheers

Canna-Question Paraphernalia YT Channels?

Hello everyone! I was wondering if there is any Canadian youtube channels that makes reviews of cannabis related products.

As an example, I grew up watching "En Volá" a Chilean channel that makes reviews of pipes, bongs, strains, grinders, vaporizers, etc.

What I like about these guys is that they are funny af yet they know tons.

Mark of the Beast by Cheers Cannabis

  1. Packaging A signature metal tin, iconic to the brand. Personally, I’m not a fan of the alignment-based opening mechanism and the lever-style tab. The label lists THC (25.93%), CBD (0.05%), and total terpene (3.675%) levels. It also includes the dominant terpenes, aromas (diesel, floral), packaging date (2026-09-14), and the mentions "grown in Quebec," "hand-trimmed," and "hang-dried." A decent presentation. The tin did not contain a humidity pack.

  2. Visuals / Buds One medium-sized bud with the rest being small; dense and compact, leaning towards the drier side. It has a beautiful appearance with a knobby structure. The flowers feature shades of pale green, forest green, and navy blue, with clementine-orange pistils and a lacy coating of trichomes. Under the microscope, there is some clumping, but most trichomes remain intact. It smokes smoothly, producing pale grey ash and a resin ring.

  3. Aromas/Terpenes Caryophyllene, limonene. On the nose, it is light, gassy, earthy, and lemony. Grinding amplifies the diesel and lemon notes. The dry hit continues with gas, earth, and lemon flavors. On the palate, diesel dominates, accompanied by notes of burnt rubber, earth, lemon, and cream, with a faint floral undertone. The smoke is heavy and creamy.

  4. Effects A "creeper" strain; the effects set in gradually, without a sudden rush. The body relaxes slightly—without causing couch-lock—right through to the comedown. On the cerebral side, there’s a mild euphoria, a creativity boost, a Zen vibe, and then a big blank space. The high is mild-to-moderate and comes in two stages: functional at first, then zombie-like. It’s a relaxing, introspective buzz that makes you prone to zoning out.

I’m often hard on Cheers—I complain, but I keep giving them a try, and this time it paid off. It wasn't love at first sight, but I’m not disappointed. It looks great, despite the bud size. The profile is gassy but a bit softer and creamier—not muted, just mellow. The delayed effects caught me off guard; I had a bit of a wry laugh. At $28.80, it’s a solid deal—I wouldn't think twice about buying it. Not my top pick, but a strong runner-up. Cheers!

I like having a stable 3.5g Sku of Pink Slurricane, prior adventures through Bleuh & Fleurons Rotating Bags my experiences have been total satisfaction thanks to the Granby Nursery which was Slurricane #9,I have no idea if it’s the same one. Regardless Pink slurricane has a pretty look that loves the camera, has a really smooth tasty flavour. I prefer this jar than the one I had ( you can go yourself and look for it ) it wasn’t too long ago, but I found it fluffier and stickier. This batch is a lot less fluffy and easier to grind.

Review Lune Rise Farms Afghan Black Hash

Thumbnail
gallery
9 Upvotes

Another hash product to talk about today, some Afghan Black Hash from Lune Rise Farms. I bought this one locally for $28.48 + tax.

The packaging is a little odd, the hash comes in the usual mylar bag, but inside the 2g was separated into two 1g chunks, each inside its own small parchment bag. I just worked them into a single piece anyway.

The bag says it’s made from sun grown flower, which I guess is outdoor.

It has a good workable consistency. Leaves a mild kushy smell on your fingers if you work it. I think it should snake well.

In a flower sandwich in my vaporizer, it adds a slightly oily hash taste to a bowl.

This is good hash, maybe not quite top shelf, but I like it.

Maybe try a little magnanimity with your mathematics and not think me a madman when I tell you the THC was 44.48% and the terpenes 2.62%, with farnesene, caryophyllene, and limonene as the top 3.

My bag was packed July 24, 2026 in lot SC191PH07B.

Review "Le Capitaine" Hash-Infused Pre-roll by El B

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

"Le Capitaine" Hash-Infused Pre-roll by El B

  1. Packaging A small, opaque black plastic tube containing a 1g infused pre-roll. The label lists THC (27.42%) and CBD (0.01%) levels. There is no mention of terpenes; it only lists the ingredients (dried cannabis, cannabis extract) and the packaging date (2026-09-10). It’s a lazy presentation—borderline insulting. The SQDC website, however, lists the classification (indica), strain (rotating, so we’ll never know), aromas (lemony, sweet, diesel), and production method (ice water). Ultimately, I don't know what I'm smoking. The tube didn't contain a humidity pack.

  2. Visuals The pre-roll is straight, made of hemp paper (blunt style), and has an open tip with a glass filter that takes up about 40% of the joint's length. The joint is uniformly dense—as hard and compact as the filter—with no weak spots. It burns well and slowly, ideal for those used to tightly rolled joints, and the ash is pale gray.

  3. Aromas/Terpenes Limonene, linalool, myrcene (according to the SQDC website). On the nose, there’s an earthy, sweet quality that reminds me of the smell of old Platinum blunt wraps. The dry hit offers notes of lemon, herbs, florals, and pastry/earthiness. On the palate, it’s a clashing, eclectic mix—ranging from lemon and earth to Irish Spring soap and "Cookies" strains, with hints of creamy marshmallow and burnt rubber. It’s almost dizzying; honestly, it’s hard to describe. It didn't really win me over.

  4. Effects The effects kick in quickly; eyelids and limbs grow heavy, and the body slows down, gripped by a powerful "couch-lock" sensation. On a cerebral level, there is intense euphoria and a mood boost—nothing feels serious or urgent anymore; everything seems funny and beautiful. The high is medium-to-strong, clearly visible on the face, and requires extra effort to stay focused. It’s a buzz for zoning out and recentering yourself after a long, hard day.

I can't wrap my head around the fact that, in 2026, a company would be comfortable providing so little information about its product. One of the main reasons to use the legal market is the assurance of knowing exactly what you're smoking. So, it's a fail there. Anyway, the product itself: well-made—some might say the roll is too tight, but I didn't have any issues at all. The glass filter is a nice, reusable touch. As for the flavor profile, I’m conflicted; it was a bit cloying for me, yet I remained intrigued. It’s definitely a taste that grows on you. The effects did the job; I was high for 1–2 hours. It’s arguably a bit pricey at 16 bucks a joint, though that depends on personal taste and tolerance. Personally, I prefer "La Flamme" from the same brand.

Purchased through Optimus
First time trying a a terp sauce product . Just like the cart version It’s floral and sweet with that orange flavour, but I don’t think the terps are as strong as the cart version which was interesting to me because of the name terp sauce.

Comparing it to the other iris labs dabs I think my favorite is still the purple sundaze and I enjoyed this as much as the gastro pop live resin solid resin but not crazy flavour or effects but I will also try it again in another batch In the future maybe it was just my one . my favorite iris strain is the blackwater would love to see that one in dabs one day

Strawberry Banana • 1964 { preroll }

*Same exact Lot,same experience, copy pasted the review from 4 days ago.

Dry Toke:
Fruity & sweet

Flavour:
Regarding strains made from Strawberry & Banana lineages since a long time,I found them especially for Banana flavours in general absent or a light flavour.

Surprisingly 1964 strawberry banana,I taste a complex flavour of fruity sweet kush.
Strawberry then Banana for fruity & sweet. a { FRUITY SWEET } Kush and not that ( Gaz earthy )Kush like Comatose has, a tiny hint of Rose Floral with some botanical herb flavour.
It’s heavily dominated with the Sweet & Fruity, it lingers in the mouth for 20 minutes + and leaves a sweet fruity aroma in the surrounding atmosphere.

Combustion \ the Burn:
Lights easily, produces a lot of thick smoke, burns straight, very white clean ash,yes for oil ring. Really love smoking a strain that pumps heavy thick white smoke, very clean, very potent.

Potency:
1st J • 1:40 am Tuesday • personally once again major inflammation at my usual spot right side mouth to the ear & finally after midway feeling better, feels a little like when a dentist numbs the mouth, it has a heavy potency,I felt it quickly numbing my mouth and ears. 10 mins later feeling a loveable body relaxation. Feeling likely imo it’s helping with pain, anxiety, anger & stress. Leaving me a happy functional couch and tv 🧘

Excellent strain, hopefully soon it will be available in a flower format.

Packaging • Bag appeal:
Black bag with a clear bottom to take a peak,62-% boost included, good info like % of the main terps & even tho the harvest day is not written, The lot number indicates that it was harvested on June 31st. The 3.5g consists of 3 big buds and 1 small.

Appearance & Humidity:
Emerald green long & dense buds with a little bit of forest green sugar leafs, purple hues, thick orange hairs covered with white Trichomes.
IMO has the look of the White truffle parent & & took the shape of Blueberry Bubba parent.

Aroma:
Strong Blueberry aroma over powering the rest & same exact for the dry toke.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••
11:30 pm Friday, had some awesome Orange Crush strain from my neighbour 💚 he saved me, legacy market but great quality, made me want to check out the Bold Orange crush soon, it’s a little priceY for me regarding a sativa strain. That’s why I haven’t got it yet.
•••••••••••••••••••••
Flavour:
Unlike the Aroma, Yes def dominated with Blueberry with a little Bubba and like
Something in between Gorilla Glue & White Truffle. So blueberry, sweet, earthy, pine, spice.

Combustion \ the Burn:
Good amount of smoke from a toke. THAT I DID INHALE yes SIR! Ash is salt with a tiny pepper at times, no lighter needed, ash holds, burns slow for the texture of the grind flower and he’s a Straight burner.

Potency:
Since it’s evenly 60 / 40 it feels like full body and head. For the head: alert, chatty & and positive vibe. For the body it’s like a little couch & tv lock. Feels clean like can be considered IMO more on the medical traits than pure Recreation. Doesn’t feel heavy around the eyes or extreme potency . Definitely a strong hybrid.

Final Thoughts:
I love when the terpenes naturally create a blueberry aroma & flavour.
It’s like 1964 blue Nuit with different secondary flavours and Ono with more potency.

Canna-Comment What's Hot & What's 💩: Weekend of Oct 9–11, 2026

Here is the community sentiment breakdown for this weekend, based on 87 reviews across Canadian subreddits over the past week.

🔥 What's Hot This Week: * Headstone - Lamb of God (7g): Absolutely dominated the week, taking two of the top five spots. Consumers are raving about the massive, trichome-covered nugs and the incredibly functional, euphoric sativa effects. * Nugz - Bubble Up (1g Rosin): Continuing to lock down the budget solventless category. Delivering a heavy gas aroma, easy-to-handle consistency, and strong value at $40/g. * 1964 - Sour Congo: Delivering a giddy, intense sativa rush reminiscent of strong coffee, backed by a complex sour ammonia and earthy funk profile. * Trending Brand Momentum: 1964 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥, Tribal 🔥🔥🔥🔥, BLKMKT 🔥🔥🔥, and No Biggie Just Smalls 🔥🔥🔥 are all holding incredibly strong positive momentum right now.

💩 What's Shit This Week: * MTL - Wes Coast Kush (8g Hash): A major miss. A reviewer dropped over $100 for this format only to find it rock-hard, unbreakable, and essentially unusable. * Mixed Sentiment: Northern Canna (💩🔥💩) and Nugz (🔥💩🔄🔥) both saw conflicting reviews this week, reminding us how much batch-to-batch consistency matters.

Note: This data was aggregated by AI and checked by a human. Let us know in the comments if we’ve made a mistake or if your experience with these batches was different!

Review Woody Nelson Country Club Live Rosin (Black Sour Haze by High Fidelity)

Thumbnail
gallery
27 Upvotes

Another Woody Nelson Country Club product to write about today, but instead of flower, it’s a live rosin this time, the Black Sour Haze by High Fidelity.

I bought it locally for $47.48 plus tax.

Black Sour Haze is a cross between Sour Haze and Black Moon, and they call it a sativa.

The rosin was a slightly darker golden yellow in colour, and came in a small white glass jar inside a long skinny mylar bag. It’s got a good texture, easy to handle, but not too dry.

Right out of the jar, I got a nice strong lemon floor cleaner smell, and in my e-rig at 480 the flavour is definitely lemony fresh and guaranteed to get your floors clean.

This is excellent live rosin in my book. I’d put it right at the bottom of the top shelf.

Defects in digits can cause delusions so take care when I tell you the THC was 74.98% and the terpenes 4.96%.

My jar was packed in lot TLR018 on February 27, 2026.

Canna-Question Hash Rosin Recs in Alberta

Whats up peeps, flying in from San Diego, CA today. Brought the Puffco to see what Canada has to offer in the way of rosin, will be spending the night in Calgary tonight, then the next few nights in banff.

Looking for some good solventless rosin recommendations, or shops that typically have a good selection and knowledgable Budtender's.

Also looking for a good shop to hit near by the airport when I land tonight for a little nightcap hash hole joint or just some really quality preroll, living soil/oranic preferred!

Thanks in advance!

Review Miracle Marker - Lot420 from flodega

Thumbnail
gallery
12 Upvotes

I’ll start with this, if you like permanent marker terps this is for you. So this is definitely for me lol.

New strain on flodega, packaged under lot 420. Website days it’s miracle alien cookies x permanent marker. Bag had 2 large nugs and a couple of small ones to make up the 6g.

Lovely buds, grinds up perfectly into a fluffy kinetic sand texture, the smell is gassy and hint of sweetness. The smoke is a whole different story

When smoking it it’s defenitly marker dominant, you get the diesel gas and burnt rubber that marker is known for. It had a very slight hint of sweetness in the end of it. I’m a huge fan of marker so this was right down my alley.

This is a very easy rebuy. I don’t buy ounces much because i like to have variety but this is one where I’ll be happy to smoke everyday. This is another strain that really compliments a tobacco leaf

Ssoooo this was smoking great, clean, like an herb vaporizer. Now I cant pull on it, seems to be leaking gunk inside mouth piece.. usually stay away from throwaways.. any tricks? its kinda expensive to leave 30-40% in it?

edit: I take care of my vapes, leave them upright, cap it up, I dont even transport it really.

Review Purplefarm Super Boof

Under examination today is an eighth of Super Boof from the folks at Purplefarm in New Brunswick. I bought this locally for $33.

Super Boof is a cross of Black Cherry Punch and Tropicana Cookies. They call it a straight hybrid, I call it kind of a weird name, but whatever. 😂

I love all the extra information they include on the back of the bag, even including the harvest date. Nice! 👍🏻

Inside the usual mylar bag, I found 1 big bud, 2 popcorn, and a small Boveda. I got a somewhat muted sweet candy nose out of the bag.

The buds were too dry though, with lots of trichome separation on the grind. I know it’s a little older, but still.

In the vape I didn’t expect much, but it actually gave a decent sweet flavour at the beginning of a bowl, even if it doesn’t last to the end.

This would probably be excellent cannabis if it wasn’t so dry. It’s still pretty good, but I’d love to try a batch that wasn’t so dried out.

Absolutely absurd acrobatics in arithmetic ahead, the THC was marked as 29.6% and the terpenes 2.51%, with limonene, caryophyllene, myrcene, and linalool as the top 4.

My bag was packed in lot F25SUB00275F on April 30, 2026 from a January 13th harvest.
