I ordered something from Japan and already paid for shipping to my address. However, when Canada Post was supposed to deliver my package, they didn’t knock on my door or ring the doorbell. They simply left a delivery notice card telling me to pick it up at the post office.
I was home waiting for the package, so I’m honestly starting to think they don’t even attempt to deliver some packages anymore. They just bring the notice card and leave without knocking.
I never requested a pickup, and I paid for shipping to my home. Now I have to spend extra time and money (40% additional of the already paid shipping) travelling to the post office to collect something that was supposed to be delivered to my address.

First the Sugar Shack stamps, then the graphic novels/novel designs, and now the Jack-O-Lantern series. All of the forever stamp designs this year have been absolutely stunning. It’s come to the point where my friend who doesn’t even use stamps has bought a few. To whoever is in charge of stamp design, THANK YOU.

I dont know why people like to complain about leaving notice card. I like receiving them knowing my parcel is ready waiting to be picked up. Im in rural area so I have to walk/drive 10 minutes to the post office to where its at. Show the notice card, sign/show id maybe sometimes. Now I got it. Didnt canada post stop home delivery for parcel? Im not to sure. Thank you canada post for your service.

Anybody else experiencing Xpresspost delays or lack of delays. My package was processed at 4:38 am and then note in transit from toronto 7:38 am on october 7th. There have been no updates since. Normally any package I get shipped from toronto takes 3 days.

This has been my average timeline for my past 10 xpresspost items coming from anywhere in southern ontario.

Toronto : Day 1 - shipped

Thunderbay: Day 2 - Scanned and in transit again that day

My location NW ontario - Day 3 - arrives between 2am and 6 am and is out for delivery by 9 am sometimes arrives earlier.

So a little bit weary - local post office said I could wait or contact customer service.

Anyone else having a similar experience this week. I know there were a lot of tracking issues posted here.

I ordered something internationally, when I tried to enter the tracking number into the Canada Post website it just sent me error messages. I even downloaded the app to try to get an update but I got nothing for it.

Today after looking up online I tried a Universal tracker and it told me my package arrived two days ago and was sent back today.

When I tried to contact support about this they told me there was nothing they could do.

So I can't check up on my package because their services are down, they don't warn me or anything and they send it back in two days and I can't do anything about it?

For the record the problem with the package was that the appartment number wasn't entered correctly and it was probably my fault, I share the blame on that but its fucked up I wasn't given a warning to correct it nor was I given the chance considereing the service is down and they sent it back in less than two days when I thought I had 15 days worst case scenario.

I’m expecting a package from Japan and I received 2 emails from EzClear about brokerage fees. The information looks legit, the sender name, my email address, what the item is and what its value is. But I’ve never dealt with them, it’s either pay fees upfront with Canada post or fedex or whatever. Or pay at the door. Never had this experience and I looked up what others said and many people say it’s a scam, reviews for them are horrible, etc. so I’m not sure what to do before paying. Tried to track on Canada post but says a shipping label was created so I don’t know if it’s even coming through Canada post. Says it’s from CITILOGISTICS. Anyone with experience on this?

I'm currently dealing with an ebay issue and part of that is tracking. I have this tracking "number" from an ebay purchase but it's not actually a number. It just says "CANADAPOSTPOCAL." When I click it to take me to the Canada Post tracking page, but since there's no number, there's nothing associated with it.

I hope this is okay to post here since I couldn't find another shipping subreddit specifically for Canada.

I've been using Canada Post for shipping, but their rates are getting a bit expensive for me, so I'm looking into other options.

I've noticed that UniUni is now offering shipping services in Canada. I know a lot of us have received parcels delivered by UniUni, but I've never actually tried using them to ship something myself.

For those who have used UniUni to ship parcels, how has your experience been so far? I'm curious about their rates, delivery times, reliability, and overall service compared to Canada Post.

I'd appreciate any feedback or advice from those who have tried them. Thanks!

My insurance provider claims they sent a registered mail informing me that I owed them some money due to some change. I never received it.

I only came to know about it after I received the second registered mail telling me my insurance was cancelled due to not paying the additional charge.

After lots of back and forth, I was able to get the signature on record with CP for the first registered mail . It's not my signature. Nor anyone else in my household.

CP won't let me raise a case to investigate. Only the sender can initiate an inquiry. And the sender (insurance company) couldn't care less. They met their official obligations of sending the letter.

Is there someone else I can escalate this with? Or is the insurance company (sender) my only way?

What can I realistically achieve by asking for an investigation? Does CP take this seriously and will take actions? Would this help me not face this in the future?

Living in a more “remote” area where one post office covers half of a rural township in central ON, and our subdivisions scattered have community boxes. I’m not talking about farm houses with quarter mile lane ways here, these are subdivisions. We are victims of one of their particular post workers doing the thing where they pre-fill the notice cards and then drops them in the community box. Not even the other type that brings the card and sticks it on the door and then runs as fast as they can even if you are home watching them from the window.

Occasionally there are fill ins for the route and they always bring those packages to the door, and even have a debit machine for the stuff that have customs fees etc. So it’s come down to the one specific and main postal worker.

The worst thing is they clearly have the packages in the delivery vehicle with them and drive them around all day just to bring them back. The cards are filled out before they even leave the parking lot of the post office.

How can they know we aren’t home dropping the notice cards in a community box?

I and I’m sure many others in this area sick of having to drive 25 minutes out of our way to the post office just to sign for a package.

Is there anything we can do to get this worker penalized as a community, because the other post office workers can’t do anything but give a number to complain to some supervisor who won’t do anything so it’s got to a mass/class action complaint from the community.

I forgot to put my unit number to the sender who is sending an envelope and it’s a stamp envelope with no tracking on it, the sender didn't put they address on it so I would like to know what would happen to my envelope it have my phone number so would they call me? or would it just be return? and where would it be return too? Would I be able to get me envelope!?

Tried to ship 6 different parcels at post office and the shoppers drug mart rep said that they couldn't accept it and to return it to sender.

I have a commercial account and have $0 past due, is anyone else having this issue today?

Update: looks like for the day of October 14, 2026 Canada Post had technical difficulties with some stores e.g. the pharmacy store locations, and packages couldn't be sent. It could be specifically with commercial accounts so it could affect other options like woosh.

I don’t know how to raise an investigation here. I’ve sent out numerous packages myself to various different parts of the US as a small business seller and have them coming back as “Item delayed — stay tuned for updates”. One of which I’ve come to find is 60 days old with no update that it’s been delivered. My wife has one tracked package on a piece of jewelry getting worked on that has the same status and that is in the US as well.

What’s my move here? I’ve got three myself that have been tracked to the US so I know those packages are close to delivery but no updates?

Package under 250g was picked up at Oct 5, arrived at a depot mere 10 km away in hours and it has been 8 days, out for delivery 5 times and it keeps rescheduling for next day. Agents are never available to chat and contacting the seller can't do nothing besides putting a claim.

I have never experience such a miserable delivery service.

For the same price and time in Japan it could've traveled the entire country or travel 3000km in China, how does a service like this still exist in 2026?

Just want to know if I'm the only one, but I've got about 15-20 orders I've sent out that just show a error page when trying to track them.

When I go to my shipper's API (Woosh) I can see the actual tracking, so the numbers do work.

Since mid August I am missing at least 10 pieces of mail, that I know about. All of them are standard letter size. 3 were untracked Ebay orders, 1 was a replacement card from my bank, 3 more personal letters from friends and my 2 voter information cards for the upcoming BC elections. I contacted Canada Post, but they said they don't have a process for filing such a complaint. They blamed it on "Damaged Mail" or maybe everyone got my address wrong. But no tracking, then no issue as far as they are concerned. So I tried the Ombudsman, but they wont take a complaint or appeal without a closed complaint ticket number from Canada Post. What am I missing here? Is there no accountability at Canada Post? Clearly there is an issue somewhere in my area, but apparently they have never dealt with missing or stolen mail before? Is there someone else in the Government that will take a complaint and follow up on this?

Hi, I've been looking at sending a postcard from BC where I live to my family in the UK (England). I know that I need to use three permanent stamps totaling $3.72 CAD, but would these stamps work on a postcard if I used three of them on one postcard?

Thank you

Say I have some online order shipped this past Thursday before thanksgiving weekend. The tracking updated till Friday. Then this Tuesday morning, the tracking got updated again…

So my questions are did the truck for my shipment parked at a Canada post location during weekend and drivers went/flew home for the holiday? Or the drivers actually worked and arrived at destination station during weekend but just not being shown on tracking?

Here is the full message I received:

"Some shipping services are unavailable. It may be your package dimensions are too big or heavy. See the International Destination Listing and update your package details as needed. If the size of your package is not the issue, there may be a service interruption at the destination. See our important updates."

I'm waiting for a parcel from Can. post. It was dispatched on the 5th Oct. On 10th Oct. I got this message on tracking. There's been no updates since. I'm in the UK, if that helps.

Thanks!

So when I was having difficulty walking, I slacked on getting my mail out of the community boxes at the street. There was always so much junk mail it was hard to carry while using my cane and it was just too much to navigate. The postal lady came to my door and I told her why. She told me to put a sign on my mailbox saying no junk mail. Worked great but now she must be gone as whoever is delivering the mail is totally ignoring the huge no junk mail sign taped to the inside of my box. I get like 5 pieces of mail per month but the junk mail is five pieces sometimes daily. I know it may seem like a small problem but it is very frustrating. What can I do about this?

I’m looking for full sheets of 1-cent stamps or other low value stamps. I’ll be using them to collect pictorial cancels.

Does anyone know if PO still sells them? I went to one in shoppers today and they only had P stamps. Thanks in advance
