You can get great players at 3rd overall I would love to pick 3rd rather than the mushy middle which has been our normal spot historically,

Draisitl, Heiskanan, Stutzle, Sennecke, Frondell, Huby, Toews all went 3rd overall and are all players that are franchise changers

Finishing 3rd after being by far the worst team last year was a huge cuck-out for the Canucks. Trust me, nobody wants that.

I want 2nd overall. At first we might be first to take Dupont, who is great, but I would rather take the best center in the draft and there looks too be some great ones.

Yep, Rebuilds take time and rushing them is a mistake. Let the young guys develop and once they start leading the way get a couple vets to shore up the team
