Cubs have to rehaul their front office and pitching development department. Jed is obviously staying but changes have to be made.

Yep. All the talk in past years about how they want to emulate the Guardians and Rays pitching development with nothing to show for it, something has got to give.

Watching the Rays last night made me envious. They’re so good at identifying actual diamonds in the rough. Their lights out closer is a guy they got from Baltimore last year for like a crate of apples.

They do what Jed wishes he could do. Occasionally we've had some successful reclamation projects, but not to the extent that the Rays do regularly.

I would gladly see the 1000th Happ/Suzuki re-sign discussion post.
For the record, I absolutely think it should be discussed, I just don't want to get out of seeing my therapy clients, do my session notes, and then check reddit before the Blackhawks game and have to clear 20 reported comments and insults thrown every which way.

I’m not fine with politics here, completely agnostic of my viewpoint. It leads to people being disrespectful to each other and fighting which I hate. This is a fun community where we can talk about a team I like to watch, and I hate when people get angry with each other.

Because it would be posted until it stood. We took down the first one because we were all still working, when the second one came through we gave it like an hour or two, and I guess it got out of hand because someone else locked it while I was seeing a telehealth client.
Do you have a point or any feedback or would you just like to be angry at something? It’s ok if you’re angry at me or the decision, we just felt like it was the best compromise.

It wasn't a compromise, it was hypocrisy. We all know that if this was a post deriding and ridiculing a player for being part of a BLM conference or something like that, it would've been taken down immediately.

If they go forward with the 154 game schedule, I hope they rotate the off days. Not a fan of the idea of having a dead day fixed in the week.

Yeah, agreed with the more days off bit, especially after the last couple of years we've had with pitching issues, perhaps that would really help. I like the longer DS and definitely agree that the picking part is going to be tricky if that gets through.

The shorter regular season i'm so so, but make the wc 5 and keep the ds the same, and no picking opponents but reseed after round

I live in Seattle and go to a lot of Mariners games. I would have rooted for Toronto if anyone other than George Springer had won them that game 7. I really hate that guy

Padres fan here, I'll take all the downvotes I'll get.
But I will just say this, y'all were right about Brewer fans. I had never encountered them before, but after seeing how they CRIED about not getting coverage and their nasty vitriol on social media, I am sorry for ever thinking you guys were the bad guy.
