Which can make the all star team though?
Just CFL east for Rec you have Snead and Philpot taking the top 2 spots. Coxie, Ungerer, Lawler, Smith and Kahmann should fill out the rest.
Returner Pimpleton should not beat Grant.
Addea likely has the best shot due to being #2 in Ints or maybe an OL. Lauther had a shot but he got traded away.

That’s not the point- this is the fan vote - Morgan got my vote

Look how there's one good defensive player and 3 receivers.
See the pattern?17

Lucky then this is a nomination for an individual performance

u/LaInDiVi CFL 13h ago
That's what I mean. Offensively there're players who can be nominated for the best player.
Defensively? Maybe only Nyles Morgan and Alonzo Addae. And that's it. Defense just didn't do good. Like at all.

They still have tickets to sell and fans to retain. It's a tough job when your team is absymal. But the Bombers had putrid seasons too and they weathered the bad years.

Bombers are kinda unique along with Sask though no? Football towns, it's in their blood surely

u/OnRecordBetting 7h ago
Hence why a team like the RedBlacks needs even more effort, especially in times like this to keep selling tickets, retain season tickets holders, etc.

well they need to do a better job at rea hing out and selling tickets. Im a former season ticket and even organized some group sales. One of their sakes team and reached out and the best offer he had was 10% off. I ended up saving 50% off of stubhub. Im considering going friday and Im sure there is no shortage of tickets avaialble.

I cannot imagine they have ever sniffed being this level of bad though😅

Obviously not winless but they bottomed out at 3-15 the year before O'Shea arrived with a QB group of the corpose of Buck Pierce (as a player), Max Hall, Justin Goltz, and Jason Boltus.

They've had some good individual performances. Justin Hardy is 4th in the league in Reception yards, Keelan White (Canadian rookie) has as many or more TDs than Kesean Johnson, Coxie, Hardy, Ontaria Wilson, and Shafer-Baker. Adeboboye has been good of late. They haven't been all bad.

Daniel Adeboboye has MORE RUSHING YARDS than Greg Bell.
Bell has only 316 rushing yards and no rushing TDs in 11 games.
Adeboboye has 341 rushing yards and 2 TDs... and he only started 5 games, maybe 6 at the best.
I don't understand how Bell managed to fail miserably after being a 1000+ yard rusher in Hamilton last season.3

Ottawa's subpar and oft injured offensive line. I think they've been getting some starters back might have helped

Individually Ottawa had great performances.
I would've vote for Kalil Pimpleton.
Great player, most all-purpose yards in CFL this season.

I remember when the Raptors sucked, I was still voting for their players for the AS game, just for fun.

Been said here before and I echo - Justin Hardy and Niles Morgan definitely have arguments. Ofc receiver position is stacked

u/Max169well REDBLACKS 13h ago
Yeah it sucks that in order for them to really be noticed you need a QB who can reliably get them the ball.

u/freondeath REDBLACKS 13h ago
Yet almost 90 catches this year. And over 1100 yds. So, no he doesnt

u/Max169well REDBLACKS 12h ago
Still the offence struggles to get points when needed. So sure some bright spots but if they are going to call themselves him, then when time is needed, they need to step up and get open if it isn’t a QB issue.
I mean we are last in points for. We are also last in total yards so one guy is responsible for 1/5th of the offense.

u/freondeath REDBLACKS 12h ago
I agree, but lets at least acknowledge whats good on the team. They take more than enough bashing.

Because the cfl is a way for guys to get film and accolades? What a stupid post by the op not everything is geared to fans.
-1
u/Max169well REDBLACKS 13h ago
That literally is geared towards fans…

u/yeahmancoolaight 13h ago
Sure fans can vote. But the players benefit from being named an all star
-1
u/Max169well REDBLACKS 13h ago
Sure, and if coaches and scouts have been paying attention, then they can inquire to the teams about it, but this literally is a post about a fan vote for all star.
I mean, wasn’t supposed to be a dense post to begin with, just kinda you know, trash talking my own team for the god awful season we have but you know, read more into it.

u/RepublicanUntil2019 10h ago
The league wants them to because overall numbers matter. Plenty of times I've voted all Cardinals for the All Star game when we were terrible.

Players can have good seasons on winless teams.
Ottawa might get lucky against a team resting starters.

Just to confirm, you don't have to vote for a Redblack player to win the $5000.
