Recommendation Graco GoMax vs Joie Mint Latch

Hey everyone! I’m stuck trying to decide between the Joie Mint Latch and the Graco GoMax, and I’d love to hear from parents (or CPSTs) who have used either in daily life.

For context on my stroller setup: I’m likely getting the Joie Nutmeg stroller. If I get the Mint Latch, having the click-in travel system is a nice bonus, but it is definitely not a dealbreaker.

My main priority is which seat makes daily life easier, especially when it comes to durability, overall build quality, and frequently swapping between cars.

Here is what i’ve heard so far:

Graco GoMax

Pros: The auto close prongs seem super convenient, and having the position memory is helpful for quicker install. I like the idea of the ease of the no-rethread harness as well.

Cons: I’ve heard Graco’s no-rethread harness can sit too high on smaller newborns, and the recline angle can end up pretty steep/upright depending on the vehicle seat slope.

Joie Mint Latch

Pros: The build quality and fabrics feel closer to luxury, you can remove the head cushions, and the recline angle seems naturally safer/better for a tiny newborn’s airway (even though there are less position options for the anchors).

Cons: I have heard some mixed things on the recline of the seat for the Mint, and you cannot take the cover off to wash it.

So for anyone who has experience with either seat:

  1. Newborn fit & recline: Did the GoMax actually sit too upright or fit loosely on a fresh newborn in your vehicle? For Mint owners, how did the recline work out across different cars?

  2. Daily car swapping: Do the GoMax’s auto-close prongs and position memory actually save time when switching cars, or is the Mint just as quick?

  3. Durability & cleanup: For Mint owners, how difficult has spot-cleaning been with blowouts and spit-up since the cover doesn't come off? And did the convenience of the GoMax's no-rethread harness outweigh any fit quirks?

Thank you all in advance!

Advice Buying a used Momcosy bottle washer - my (good)experience

UK based. Bought a used bottle washer on Vinted. Worked well for 3months. It then threw up an error code E6 which relates to power issues or heating element. It would run the wash cycle but not the steam/steriliser cycle (I never checked the dry). I contacted Momcosy who asked for proof of purchase, as this was a user purchase through Vinted they told me to contact the vinted seller. Seller was unable to find original purchase information so I assumed I was out of luck. I chased Momcosy support asking for advise on what to do next , they asked for pics of the error code, voltage on plug and sockets (I had already sent serial number). To my surprise they they said they'd send me.a new one!

My 11mo arches his back after 5 mins in his seat. Looking for upgrading to a highchair with adjustable footrest

• Upvotes

My 11mo baby would not sit in his highchair for more than five minutes. Every time I sat him down, he would arch his back, squirm around, get fussy, and yell to be taken down. Initially, I thought it was just typical baby behavior and that sometimes babies just don't want to sit in a highchair.

On my last visit, I consulted with our pediatrician because our baby wasn't eating well. He asked various questions about his routine and how I serve him food. When I mentioned that I mostly feed him in his highchair, he told me to check whether his feet are supported while sitting. If a baby’s feet are dangling, they spend more energy balancing their core than actually focusing on chewing and swallowing.

We have a hand-me-down highchair without a footrest. It's also a little wobbly, so we are thinking of getting a highchair with adjustable footrest. I've looked into different options that have adjustable footrests and heights. The top highchairs that came up in my search are:

Abiie Beyond

CYBEX Lemo

Momcozy Diner Pal

For people who have used any of these highchairs, please share your experience! Are they actually ergonomic and comfortable for a baby? Are they easy to clean? Your feedback would really help us pick the right one this time.

Nursery Gliders for short moms

Hi! I am 5’1’’ and my husband is 5’8’’ and I’m looking for glider recommendations for shorter parents that won’t break the bank but isn’t super cheap. Would prefer a glider that also reclines but open to a glider with ottoman situation. Thanks!

Advice UPPAbaby KONA vs Silver Cross Breez vs Peg Perego Vivace - help me decide!

FTM here, so I’m struggling to decide! 😅

I originally picked the KONA, but I’ve read some comments saying it feels flimsy, so now I’m having second thoughts. I’m also considering the Breez and Vivace.

For anyone who owns or has tried these strollers, how do you find the fabric quality, stability and pushing experience?

Front Wheel lock: is it important for everyday use? Do you actually use it often?

Seat Angles: The KONA mentions having 4 seat angles, but I couldn’t find this information for the Breez and Vivace. Does anyone know their recline positions or angles?

Would love to hear your honest opinions. Thanks so much!😊

Recommendation Upcoming trip with 4 month old

I‘m taking my baby on a 2-month long trip to meet the family (yay!). Husband and I live in the US and are from Europe. I’m so confused with all the travel system options, would love some advice!

She will be 4 months old when we leave the US and 6 months old when we come back. Does a regular stroller make sense, or will I only use the car seat/bassinet options? If so, what are good recommendations? Research came up with the Nuna trvl system with the urbn car seat, and also the Joolz Aer2. Are these good options?

Additionally, any carrier you’d recommend for the airport? I’ve only used wraps so far. Thanks!

Uppababy Kona Colors

Please drop a photo of your Uppababy Kona or share the pros/cons of selected color! I’ve gone to 3 different stores and they only show black on the floor. Black will be too hot where I live.

Love the Ada (beige) but worried it will get dirty quickly. What’s your experience?! Thanks!

Bugaboo strollers & Car seat pairing?

So I’m looking at getting the bugaboo kangaroo as our long term main stroller. This stroller will be a gift not paid for by me, as will the car seat.

My question is, does it really only make sense to get a nuna to go with the bugaboo? I would like a flame retardant free car seat, and before the family member offered this gift I was considering a Chicco key fit. I care more about having an investment stroller than car seat bc the car seat will literally expire, so does it truly make sense to get the nuna?

I also see you can get the nuna turtle air bundled with a bugaboo, but it seems to be way more expensive than the nuna pipa if I’m doing the math right?

Honestly I just don’t want to be greedy with the whole situation even though I know they are more than happy to spend money on us.

Ok this is gonna sound dumb but does anyone know if these are legit? We've been using/ordering pampers amore for a while now and the packaging has never looked like this.

I know, why would anyone make fake diapers, but they are from Amazon and ive gotten fake products from Amazon more than a few times so I'm hesitant lol.

Theres also no pampers rewards code so that sucks lol

Stroller/infant car seat search

Yall. I’m over this lol
Need help deciding on travel system with stroller plus compatible infant car seat. I know which ones i think i want, but then i look into more and i have no idea. Plus my husband keeps coming back at me regarding the price where the systems i wanted/proposed were just short of $1000. I don’t see this as a huge issue if we’re going to love it. Tough thing is where we live i can’t readily go somewhere to test drive the options.
Things i feel are important to our decision:
I’m due in January 2027 with our first, we live in rural PA in a hilly suburb so probably won’t be doing many outdoor walks until the spring (prob don’t need a bassinet). But still want something that has a good ride (for both baby and I) on some gravel/farmers market/paved roads. Lighter weight the better (for me, personally) for an infant car seat. We have an SUV and a truck so I’m not worried really about space but don’t want it to be so clunky and difficult to fold. I really don’t want to spend whatever amount on it and it end up being those flimsy, cheap feeling frames. Husband and i are both healthcare and he’s active duty so if they offer discounts on either that’s a bonus.
I’m looking at the following:
-Mockingbird 3.0 + either Uppababy Aria V2 or Nuna Pipa Aire
-Evenflo Monarch +** **LiteMax NXT
-UppaBaby Cruz V2 + Aria V2
- Maxi Cosi Oxford + Ambra
- Nuna Mixx + Pipa Aire (only one we’ve tested out thanks to a friend and i wasn’t crazy about the stroller)
- Joie Ginger + Rue (or Mint Latch??)

Any others I’m totally missing that sound like a good option? Just looking for some insight. Thanks yall 💗

Question for Chicco next2me forever owners

Hello, can anyone tell me if Chicco next2me forever can be rocked vertically? I have a chicco next2me essential and we will transition as the baby is already 4 months old. Sometimes I lightly rock the crib when the baby is trying to sleep. It doesn’t move horizontally but it moves vertically. So if the bigger model is also same feature, I will order it. I am planning to go to a store to check but if anyone can tell me this, maybe I will not go and buy it online. This will be much easier for me with a small baby. Thanks

Pack n Play with bassinet attachment or standard bassinet?

Which did you use, would you recommend a specific one, would you do the same thing again? Anything else you can find helpful. I’m leaning toward pack n play with bassinet attachment for longer term use, but need Reddit feedback

Are there kaleidoscope-style toys that project or display colorful patterns outward, so my baby can watch them without needing to peer through a viewing hole?

My baby girl is almost 8 months old and absolutely loves gazing at high-contrast images and patterns — she can stare at them for ages! It got me thinking: instead of cycling through the same set of cards or prints, why not introduce her to something that generates endless variety?

That’s what led me to the idea of a kaleidoscope-style toy where every glance reveals a completely new pattern. The only catch is that she’s still too young to hold one up to her eye and peer through a viewing hole, so I’m looking for something that projects or displays the patterns outward, where she can simply look at them.

One more thing I’d love to keep it screen-free and battery-free. Ideally a mechanical toy she can eventually interact with physically as she grows.

Has anyone come across something like this? Would love to hear your recommendations!

And sending lots of love to all your little ones! 🥰

Recommendation Stroller - Only Travel One?

Hi mommas!

I am looking for strollers for my baby coming early next year. I’ve got an angel relative who will buy me whatever stroller I want so I want to make sure I choose the right one (my one shot haha).

Some facts/needs:
- I live in a one bedroom in NYC so space is not a luxury I have.
- I plan to travel with baby and walk around the city so something that fits in overhead bin and is light would be great
- would love if it’s ready to use from newborn
- durability!!! I don’t plan to do any hiking or trail running etc but would want the thing to not crap out one me
- storage
- plan to get a separate convertible car seat so compatibility is not essential
- I’ll likely move to LA when baby is 1 or before 1

Too contender right now is the bugaboo butterfly 2 plus with full newborn recline, I also see the cybex coya around…

Did anyone make it work with just a travel stroller? Do you really need a mid or full size? Also taking recommendations and reviews of the two models I listed! I’ve accepted also that these travel ones don’t have forward facing so I will swallow that pill!

Maxi Cosi 360 pearl installation

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi,

I have a 2017 Opel Astra K and recently installed a Maxi-Cosi Pearl 360 with the FamilyFix 360 base. However, even when I recline the seat to its maximum position, it still seems quite upright due to the angle of the rear seat.

My baby is 5 months old, and I’m concerned that the seat may not provide a suitable reclined position for him.

Do i something wrong? Has anyone experienced this issue with an Opel Astra K, or is there a way to adjust the seat angle?

Advice Very confused about baby gate height

Hi there. I need to buy a gate for the top of stairs. I know it needs to be hardware mounted. Something I’m confused about is the height. Because of the railing, we have to get a gate that is less than 34.” However my child is 18 months and I see that 30” baby gates are only good for children aged 6-24 months due to them being able to climb the gate after 24 months. My confusion is about what am I supposed to do for a gate after my child turns 2 years old? If I buy a 30” gate now, it will only be good for 6 months? I’m so confused. Please clarify. Thanks.

Product Question NB Halo Sleep Sack too large?

I bought the Halo Sleep Sack (not swaddle) for my newborn, in the NB size but it's massive! The length is crazy, the neck is about twice as big as her neck...

She was 7lb 8oz a week ago so it should fit but at this rate I don't see how it's any safer than a loose blanket (which I also won't be using).

Has anyone else had this size issue with the sleep sack?

Advice Experience with Graco EasyTurn 360 in Honda Civic?

I'm really set on a rotating seat and from what I can tell this is the smallest front to back, but can anyone who's tried this let me know what it's like in reality? We are not concerned about width.

Target Circle deal - Mockingbird high chair

Post image
84 Upvotes

I’ve been waiting to buy the Mockingbird high chair for months and was able to stack two deals today at Target to get it for $170 total, normally it’s $250. Kicking myself for using my registry coupon a few weeks ago but oh well, this is still a great price. Just wanted to share in case anyone else had been looking at this one!

Advice Registry suggestions for 3+ months

Hi all! We didn’t have a baby shower for our baby so we ended up buying everything a newborn needs ourselves. Baby is now 2 months and I’m being asked for a registry as people would like to buy us gifts anyway. I feel like we have everything we need for this current period, at least until about 3 months, so I’m looking for suggestions on what I should add to the list that baby/we will need later on, as baby grows.
Please let me know which items/toys/baby gear you found useful with your little one at 2-3+ months of age.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

Buying on Amazon BEWARE

This is a warning for those registered on Amazon or looking to buy from there. I added a Joie stroller to my registry from their official store, sold by Joie. I received a notification it was on a huge sale, so I purchased it. Later came to realize it was shipped by some alphabet soup brand, so of course I never received it. I have spent over a week trying to get a refund from Amazon with no luck yet. I would have hated if someone bought this for me and this happened to them. I have now moved all my big registry items to Target, and quite frankly will never purchase a large item from Amazon again (I am not a prime member either).

Not sure how to handle this…

Hey guys! I’m a first time father, expecting in around 6 months, and my girlfriend has some family and friends with younger kiddos or recent newborns so for our registry it’s more of checking things off the list that we get from them. But she mentioned her friend wanted to give her a stroller and even my boss offered a Doona. We’ve already gotten into some “tiffs”, lol, over small disagreements like this so I’ve taken a step back and let her pick whatever she wants as long as it fits all the safety requirements. My only pushback is now the stroller and car seat. I feel like trying to save money with those is the complete wrong thing to do. Sorry for splurging but do you guys think it’s smart to get a car seat and stroller second hand or should we just pay for the best and safest options we can find?

For context, I’ve heard nothing but good things about the UPPAbaby brand and have been looking at the Vista V3 with either the Mesa or Aria car seat. But I’ve also heard you can get a very similar experience with the Mockingbird 3.0 and an UPPA car seat with the adapter. Granted that’s us knowingly trying to spend $800-$1600 when people are offering free items.

Recommendation Rear facing stroller for 4mo

We currently have a Chico bravo car seat that clips into our stroller but I’m not a fan of it. LO is too small for forward facing yet.

Are there strollers that are rear facing for <6 months without a separate car seat attachment?
