[Request] Looking for a great rice cooker!
Hello everyone, I currently have a cheap aroma ARC-360NGP rice cooker, and I am looking to upgrade to something better, that will produce more consistent results. Budget I am looking for something 250ish.
I have heard a lot of good things about the zojirushi rice cookers but there are so many different models! Does anyone else have any specific models or recommendations on rice cookers? Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks so much for your help

I got the Zojirushi NS ZAC18 a few years ago and it’s been rock solid, fuzzy logic keeps rice perfect every time whether it’s white brown or sushi rice. The inner pot is thick and nonstick and it’s held up way better than my old Aroma. One heads up: it takes a bit longer to cook because of the fuzzy logic adjustments but the results are worth the wait. If you can find it on sale around your budget it’s a legit BIFL pick.

I really like my Buffalo Boilsteam Rice Cooker i got mine for about 250Aud. For me it was the stainless steel easy to use and clean in the dishwasher but also no teflon or plastic

I opted for a Kitchenaid grain and rice cooker over Zojirushi - only because I cook varied grains and wanted something that could handle everything.

I love my induction heating Zojirushi and would buy a new one in a heartbeat if mine died, but they're going to be out of your price range starting at about $350-400.
All of Zojirushi's conventional Micom cookers are going to have largely equivalent performance with the differences mostly being in the form-factor and the number of programs.

Tatung rice cookers are Taiwanese family heirlooms! My parents immigrated with one from the 80s, they still use it daily. My aunt gave me hers and I use it for rice, eggs, steaming seafood/dim sum, reheating leftovers, and also as a humidifier in the winter lol.

Got a used Cuckoo hs0657 many years ago and it has been superb and never had any issues.
Decided to get the three cup ehss0309f a few months ago (a smaller model) and it’s been just as great as its larger sibling.
Turbo mode in the smaller model cooks rice in 16 minutes flat, regardless of how full it is. The bigger one was pretty close to that, even with 6 cups in it.
