What's crazy is that these ticket prices are about the same as a Tuesday night game against the Rockies in mid-August.
Source: lifelong Brewers fan living in L.A., who loves to take his kids to baseball games but is almost always priced out by the exorbitant cost of tickets.

It’s a big stadium and not easy to get to the 5pm start unless you bail on work.
More than anything it’s a reflection on the dodgers global (not local) fan base.

We packed the house on a 4 pm start granted it seats more than AMFAM but the city of LA is only 2 million less than the whole state of Wisconsin

u/ogold45 15h ago
On a holiday, but yeah AMFAM would be packed any day/time regardless.

u/G0PACKGO 14h ago
I mean almost no one gets off for that holiday that I won’t name because somehow either name you use you piss people off

I'm not all that shocked. There's definitely a novelty factor for us. $200/seat for basic loge seats to an NLDS game and $300/seat to an NLCS game isn't an insignificant amount of money if you're not rich. I bit the bullet because I know/believe this is the first time we'll make the WS since '82 (when I 5 years old)...and will be our first WS win ever...and I want to be a part of it, experience it, witness it in person. And man, I'm so effing glad I did. But if the script were flipped; if the Brewers had won the WS in the last 2 seasons and were now down 0-2 in NLCS?; I'm putting that $1,000 into improvements on my house or my car or my PC, and watching the game on TV.

That's why you don't work and then you never miss a game. 200 IQ I know lol

Second largest metro in the country, if they can't pack that house it just goes to show what caliber of fan the Dodgers actual have.

People who have driven in LA know it’s bat 💩. A 20 minute drive here ends up being an hour or more there.

u/hiptones 15h ago
Hell, if they want to make it easier for Brewers fans to travel and go to the game, let's pack that bugger up.

u/Plumaster 8h ago
i'd rather not support the Dodgers financially, although if they are resale tickets they are already sold so I guess then it's ok
2
u/hiptones 8h ago
I dunno. It's not like they'll go out of business if they don't sell those seats. The wish to support the Brewers in LA trumps any financial support for the Dodgers.

Pro tip to anyone that is going and driving: Park at Union Station for $8 flat for the whole night and then take the Dodger shuttle for free directly to the stadium.
Or Uber to Union Station to save yourself the hassle on traffic.
Address for parking garage entrance that's $8: 466 E Cesar E Chavez Ave

I find street parking in echo park and get a beer and burger before walking to the stadium. It's about 20 min uphill, but if youre healthy-ish, cheap, and determined it's not that bad. Plus, the way back is all downhill.

Insane that the 3rd richest city in the world can't shell out $98 bucks, and here its $250 standing room

one tactic if you are wanting to get in to game 6 or 7 is show up at the park and just refresh stubhub/seatgeek as prices fall and you'll get in. Tried and true and people did it for the world cup. You might miss an inning or two but the end where everyone is going nuts is what you are there for.

Why is this game not nationally televised? Is it a contractual thing with Fox 1?

There are many "we are fans because its the cool thing". Not that there are not good Dodgers fans, they are plenty....but people who would scalp such tickets had hope to cash in on the coolness wave.

Warning, the temps in Los Angeles will be in the 80s today, low 90s tomorrow and high 90s on Friday.

I don't think many fully grasp how big of a dumpster fire the traffic situation getting to and from a 5 pm start is. If I lived there I wouldn't go and I am as excited about the where the Brewers are as anyone. That's speaking as an Altanta resident that is pretty accustomed to bad traffic.

Guess noone in la does anything ever lmao it sucks but youre exaggerating hard. You absolutely deal with it if youre a fan of the team

Dodger Stadium sits in the hills of Elysian Park, surrounded mostly by parkland and its own large parking lots. Ewwwww… better clutch your pearls. Sounds dangerous to me! 😂
Does your racist MAGA brain hear “California,” especially “LA,” and immediately picture gang members killing each other? Because, of course, everything is Newsom’s fault. That’s “Newscum” in your language, in case you didn’t know his actual name. 😂

I wish brewers tickets would become more affordable. Right now it’s $400 to get in for game 6.
