Is anyone having this problem - you unfollow accounts but they still show up in your following list? I've unfollowed them a dozen times and they're still there. What's going on?

Bluesky have suspended lffstubs.bluesky.social. The message says they’ve sent me an email outlining why, but they haven’t. Unfortunately this account is needed for London Film Festival which is currently on. I’ve appealed but does anyone know how responsive they are?.

I already asked a couple of questions on Reddit before about BlueSky (such as: is the service likely to survive for many years financially?) but still enthousiast to give BlueSky a try.

I have a couple of more questions though:

1) Can you, on BlueSky, set an account to private (temporarily or permanently) or hide certain posts (temporarily or private) so that those posts can only be seen by those who follow you or those who follow you and vice-versa?

2) what type of 2FA does BlueSky have? The most trustworthy 2FA is a physical device that you have to plug into the USB gate of your computer to generate the one-time passcode (such as Yubikey) and there are some pretty decent authenticator apps too (although I'm a bit wary of Authy and Google Authenticator).

3) Is it possible to download your posts (thus your entire timeline) to your hard drive as a back-up of your posting history?

4) Are links to YouTube videos, articles and other websites allowed? (I would assume so, since an article I read said that BlueSky is very user-friendly for exchanging links)

5) Can I add 1 or more photos or a short (eg 1 to 2 minutes maximum) video to a post on BlueSky?

WTF? Made my first ever Bluesky account and got banned without even posting anything. Solved the captcha, clicked verification email and uploaded my profile pic. Was posting my first tweet (or whatver its called) and BAM. Got a long email

I'm getting error messages when I try to access it

I have 1300+ followers and I am tired of scrolling and getting rid of bots. Is it worth it to delete my account and start over?

I try to reply to recent posts from people I follow and until yesterday I got plenty of responses or at least likes. But suddenly no one is is responding and liking. Did some policy change? Could I have been put on some list?

Last week, my BlueSky account was suspended without explanation beyond “critical violation”
I filed an appeal, but I haven’t heard anything back after a week. To anyone who filed an appeal after being suspended, how long did it take to hear back from them?

I was quoting a bunch of artwork to neatly compile it in a thread. When I tried to post, it said that I was suspended. No email notification, no nothing. Not even in the spam folder. I don’t know what I did wrong that violates the T&C. I don’t post nsfw, and I don’t post about ill will towards people. Has anyone has this happen with no notification? (I’ve emailed support and sent in a separate appeal, so now I’m just waiting to hear back.)

I have been using about three years now, and suddenly today, without any warnings or anything, my account was suspended for “Critical Violations.” I wasn’t given any other details about what I allegedly did. On my posts itself, it says “1 🔁” and then nothing. What’s up with that? Anybody?

i recently got locked out of both twitter accounts i had and i refuse to give them my biometrics or install the app, so i finally moved to bluesky.

my timeline is pretty dull atm, and in comparison to twitter, overall just a lot less funny.

i followed this account called vattelious [or vat #sloptwt] and i was wondering if theres anything like it over on bluesky. i dont quite know how to describe it, but its essentially just shitposting and the type of memes youd find on reels.

if anyone knows where i can find stuff like this, id be really grateful. thanks!

-I have experienced throughout the majority of a month that bluesky is incapable of 'fetching posts' after an uncertain cutoff, presumably quantity of loaded posts, and clearing my cache or resetting the device is incapable of resolving this. Consequently I am unable to observe posts beyond a few months on individual profiles and scarcely three hours in my feed. Is there any known means of alleviating this perceived dysfunction?

So, what I miss most about Twitter are genuinely funny and offbeat shitposting accounts. I haven't found much of this online cultural element on Bluesky...is it really not there, or have I just missed it? Overall Bluesky does feel more straight-laced and a bit dry, so I hope it's out there somewhere.

I can compress my videos, so that I can controll the quality. Is there some way to prevent Bluesky from compressing my videos? Is there a resolution limit, file size limit, frame rate, video codec, audio codec, file format. Literally anuthing that I can do to have bice quality videos.
