My custom built dream machine 😍

This Cervélo S5 road bike features a build configuration quite common in China: the original Shimano Dura-Ace hollow aluminum crankset has been replaced with a carbon fiber crankset paired with a spider-based power meter—a setup that ensures accurate power measurement while reducing the overall system weight.

Handlebars: HB19 integrated cockpit (400mm width, 100mm stem length)

Bar tape: Lightweight (white)

Wheelset: Scope Artech 8T

Groupset: Shimano Dura-Ace R9270 (excluding crankset)

Crankset: SRAM RED E1 (170mm) with SIGEYI SL power meter and Shimano Dura-Ace 54/40T chainrings

Saddle: S-Works Power (143mm)

Tires: Continental GP5000 with 100mm TPU inner tubes

Pedals: TIME XPRO 12

Accessories: ELITE carbon fiber bottle cages, ROC titanium computer mount, Garmin Edge 1050

Total bike weight: 7.3 kg

(As an aside, I had hoped that the aerodynamic advantages of this bike would help me hit an average speed of 40 km/h for the first time. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen—my first ride resulted in an average speed of 38.9 km/h with an average power output of 315 watts. It looks like I still have some work to do!)

Cost me 1600usd. Built it only out of pure FOMO when I heard that EU would introduce new taxes to AE and Temu. Now it's my favourite and most ridden bike in my fleet. Pure joy.

8.9kg ride ready (mounts, lights, bags). No internal routing, as I am still figuring out the perfect fit and changing my stem twice a month.

Handmade monocoque frame (1 of 3) in Slovenia as Berk was developing the Cesta. Fits 40s but currently running 30s on Zipp 454s. Full SRAM Force E1. Frame was 911g, full build as pictured with pedals, cages, mounts = 7.4kg.

If you are in the market for something a little different, I definitely recommend considering a custom geometry bike from Berk (at a price lower than almost all other custom Carbon frame makers).

New to me Lynskey touring frame with S&S couplers. Built up with King R45 hubs on Open Pro UST rims, King headset, Wheels MFG bottom bracket, 5Dev aero ring, Rival E1 cranks, SRAM Force XPLR 1x12 derailleur and cassette, Red E1 chain, Look gravel pedals, Tune stem, Zipp bars, Ciclovation tape, Growtac Equal levers with Blips, Zipp SL Speed post, and a Form Throne saddle. Gearing is 10-44 x 42. Tires are 28c René Herse Chinook Pass with TPU tubes.

I personally think this looks sharp. Inspired by the Q365 team. Just a quick test to see how it looks.

The last generation of mechanical Dura ace is so tight.
