Here's my pitch for a ThunderCats beat em up.
This game would barrow elements from both the original cartoon and the 2011 reboot.
The ThunderCats would be aliens sent to Earth after their home planet exploded. I also like the concept of Lion O being a boy in a man's body, which can lead to an interesting character arc for our hero.
They land on a post apocalyptic Earth where humans and other humanoid animals are oppressed by Mumm-Ra and his goons; thus the ThunderCats become freedom fighters leading a revolution against Mumm-Ra.

You guys told me 3 hits weren't enough. So I added a 4th.

A while back I posted my 3-hit combo here, and one of the suggestions was to add a 4th hit. So I gave it a shot. This clip shows the new version, plus how it feels in actual combat. Does it flow better now, or should a basic combo stay shorter?

Jingi Road - Yakuza-style mini beat-'em-up for browser (even phone)
jingi-road.vercel.appI just found this last night, very charming and replayable. Free with no ads. Japanese only for now, but the browser can translate it (sometimes hilariously).

Looking to explore beat 'em up games and looking for recommendations!
I've always been more of a puzzle game player, but I recently played a friend's copy of Judgement and LOVED the combat gameplay. It reminds me a lot of games like Streets of Rage, Bad Dudes, and Double Dragon which I also loved. So I'm still kinda new to the genre and I absolutely HAVE to get some more recommendations. I've heard the Yakuza games are similar gameplay wise. But there are SO MANY. Like, where should I start?
The games I listed are pretty much my only exposure to the genre. Except maybe a little Soul Calibur and Mortal Combat, but I didn't like those as much as the others. It wasn't as fun to play one player in those. Any thoughts? I know I am going to play the Yakuza series, but I'm not sure where to start, and I am definitely looking for other games to try, too.
Note: I have access to PC games on steam and an NES.
Edit: It was Streets of Rage 2, specifically. Not sure if that matters lol

I hate those archers. 🤬

We're considering that the game should have a player character with the same weapons.
What do you think?
Try Blades & Battles on Steam(with DEMO) , Epic Games Store, Playstation, XBOX or Nintendo Switch.

Undercover Cops 1992 Full Gameplay. I think this is one of those games that has been forgotten—or perhaps it simply wasn't a successful title. It has only been viewed 15 times on my YouTube channel. I didn't play it much at the arcade, but I did like the.

Why people in Streets of Rage 4 keeps leaving?
Everytime i host or join in the mid of the gameplay, The player pause and then leaves and I cannot chat in Streets of Rage 4, I was facing this problem so many times...
Which beat em up game is even active and better than Streets of Rage 4?
In Streets of Rage 4 I rarely get player to Co-op with me but in some reason the player leaves with no reason and the online doesn't have the chat to talk to the player in the Epic Games Mobile version...

THE ULTIMATE RUN IN FIGHT'N RAGE HISTORY!!! | FIGHT'N RAGE [190112] | UNFAIR+Turbo + DAMAGE PENALTY (12/2/19) Straight Path
(Forgot to upload this one here long ago.) I hope y'all enjoy this video!
This one was recorded way back on December 2, 2019. Due to the multiplayer damage penalty on Insane and Unfair difficulties, it made the game impossible to beat. Still, I took my chance to risk trying. And...I did it!
This was before the Damage Penalty was removed last January 20, 2022.

Solo dev, Final Fight fan - my beat 'em up TURF FIGHT has a demo
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi
I'm a solo indie dev, and Final Fight and Cadillacs and Dinosaurs are the games I grew up with.
I've been writing software since 2007. In 2020 I started making mobile games - and most of them failed. I decided to make the kind of game I actually love to play. That became TURF FIGHT.
What I tried to bring to the genre:
- Fighting-game inputs: quarter-circle specials (↓↘→ + attack) and command throws (↓↙← + attack)
- A dedicated grab button - forward/back throws that bowl over other enemies, tackles, mounts, air slams
- Parry and dodge, and bosses you can stagger by breaking their guard
- Thugs start blocking if you spam the same move, so you have to mix it up
- Up to 4-player local co-op (gamepads for P3/P4)
There's a free demo on Steam (tutorial + Stage 1, about 8 minutes), and the full game comes out November 5.
Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5235010/
Since this sub knows the genre better than anyone, I'd really value your honest take:
My English might not be perfect.
Thanks for reading!

ESCAPING THE WAREHOUSE! [3/3] | F. Norris (NO DAMAGE) | Unfair+Turbo | Fight'N Rage Gameplay
While playing as Gal makes it somehow possible to complete the first stage (Escape route) with NO DAMAGE because of her speed and the stage's enemies, I was shocked that I pulled this one off as F.Norris. I'll be damned!

Most difficult Beat 'em Ups
I've never really thought of Beat 'em Ups as a genre you explore when you want a challenge, but nonetheless I'm curious, what are considered the most difficult beat em ups ever made. I'm aware of NES Battletoads but that seems to be more a case of the way it's programmed rather than designed so let's not count that or anything else like that.

Arcade Stick vs Hitbox
So when it comes to Fighting games, I heard Arcade Stick is more fun but Hitbox gives you bigger advantage cause it's more accurate. For that reason I decided to get a Hitbox instead.
But when it comes to Beat em' up, I'm trying to get the ones that is more fun instead cause no PvP. Even if I already have a Hitbox, I wouldn't mind getting Arcade Stick if it's more fun. But I wanna ask first which you feel is more fun before deciding rather or not I should also buy an Arcade Stick. Any idea? :D
Any if you answer is "it's personal preference" then just tell me which you enjoy more in your opinion between the 2 instead then I'll just pick based on which is more popular, and if it's around even then I'll still pick Arcade Stick just to try it out. I'm asking cause I would hate to waste money, but I'll be abit more willing to try depending on what answers I get though. :D
And keep in mind, I want answers based on enjoyment, not advantages. And this is for Beat em' up/shoot em' up games only.
