Bead Talk It finally happened to me!
OMG, I think I just hit the beading jackpot!!! 🤩 ALL of this for $50!!!
The seller and her mom used to be into beading, but they haven’t had much time for it lately and decided to downsize. And OMG, there is SO MUCH STUFF!!! Seed beads (Miyuki, Toho, Czech…), crystal bicones (including a WHOLE BAG of Swarovski crystals!! The last pic), findings, wires, threads… you name it!
I almost fainted when I saw everything lol. I still can’t believe my luck! Can’t wait to start using all these goodies in my projects!!

Finished Piece Beaded Fish!
Hi guys! Just wanted a place to show off the beaded fish keychains that I’ve been working on. It’s been pretty stressful at work so making these fish have been my distraction from that 🙂↕️ I’d love some recommendations for different colors to do when I make more and whether you like the round beaded fish or the delica beaded fish better!
Pattern is from mindofjulia off Etsy!

Color wear
I’m working on a bracelet that is using Miyuki half tila in metallic dark bronze. I’ve used some super duos in past that had a gold finish that wore off with the first wearing. Anyone have any experience with these tilas?

Finished Piece Fruit Slice Charms
Making tiny fruit charms out of Miyuki beads. Mostly, they're peyote stitch, but the dragonfruit requires a little bit of brick stitch for the green bits.
I haven't marked down a proper pattern other than on beadographer.com, but they're fairly simple. I may write down actual patterns for them if I get the time, if anyone would interested.

Need Help! Beading Help!!
Hello everyone! This is my first time beading. I’m attaching felt to my needlepoint and I embellishing the border with beads. What is the reason why they go between sideways orientation and upright?
I also don’t like how they’re not in a straight line, but I’m hoping if I press it flat it’ll lay straighter.
Just wanting some tips for when I try again. Thanks!

Bead Talk Huge bead haul from XYZBeads
DISCLAIMER: I’m not affiliated with this site at all! I’m just a gal who loves a good deal and couldn’t find much info on the site before I decided to try it out!
I’ve been casually browsing XYZbeads.com because their prices are just insane compared to US-based retailers, but the cost of shipping from China ends up almost negating the savings. Well, they had a huge promo during their national holiday week, and I ended up paying $12 total for UPS shipping.
100 grams of Miyuki delicas
100 grams of 8/0 Miyuki rocailles
1350 grams of 11/0 Miyuki rocailles
Total = $160 for beads + $12 shipping
I’m hoping that they run another similar deal during Lunar New Year because these prices are honestly unbeatable.
I will say, I can’t vouch for the majority of the website — I’m only comfortable sourcing findings and wire from US shops. But I took a pretty close inspection of the beads, and they seem to be the real deal (not counterfeit) as far as I can tell. I already owned most of the colors, so I could do a 1:1 comparison. Since I mostly use Miyuki for 80-90% of my work (and use Preciosa for the rest of it), I’ll definitely be coming back!
One note: of the 31 bags, 1 did leak in transit. It was contained in the big zipper bag, and I’m glad it was just a single color. It would have been hella frustrating to end up with a bunch of bead soup 🙈 but honestly not the worst damage I’ve ever seen. I’ve only ever purchased 6 bags of Cylins (John Bead) and 4 of them exploded in transit 🙃

Brick stitch earring questions
Hey all
Making earrings in this style and I ran into two issues
1. What is the metal thing they used instead of a bead loop at the top called? Any suggestions on where to buy some?
2. At the bottom it looks like they go down using rows of 2 beads but at the edge there’s only one bead somehow- any idea how they did this? I can’t figure it out… I can decrease by 1 at a time or 3 at a time but that’s all I’ve figured out how to do… new to brick stitch shapes!
