Hi everyone,

I play battlefield 6 on an asus rog ally z1 extreme and it's quite fun. I mostly play it on my custom portal servers with bots and most of the time I locally host those servers. I configured both rog ally and battlefield 6 to run local servers with 40 bots in any map with only 15 watt tdp and stable 40 fps. I did this configuration back when wake island is added to the game, in the same update the sim fps for the menu and local servers are reduced from 60 to 30. Which made it easier to run local servers. Before this update, my servers had around 30 bots and tdp was 25 watts, and I still had stutters, sudden dips in sim fps. Well in season 5 update, both menu and local servers went back to 60 hz. Which made the game unplayable due to constant stutters. Is there any way to set the sim fps back to 30? and before you say "Just play on ea servers." I travel a lot and the ping makes it unbearable.

can someone tell me why everytime I try to join a server I instantly get kicked back to main menu on PS5Pro

I can find them in BF6 portal and have enjoyed them, but I'd like to make my own so I can play the modes/maps I feel like and haven't figured out how to do it.

I'm not interested in gaining XP, I just want to have a chill experience.

Hey all! Software developer here that recently discovered the PortalSDK. I found myself insanely frustrated by Godot's object browser, so I created a tool to extract all the images out of maps and generate a handy web image catalog. It lets you filter and search and see object details.

It's available on my github if anyone is interested. You need Python and the PortalSDK to use it. There is one sample output file in the repo for Manhattan Bridge, if you want to see an example of what it produces. There's also a detailed readme in the repo

Right now it just generates one page per map, but I plan on making it create an index page for all maps. This is the first go, so feedback welcomed!

Played 1 full game no problem. Then played a 2nd game that quite mid way through. After trying to get into FNB again, it would open up the screen page of the map while loading, then stop and go to the BF6 page.

Rinse and repeat.

I then tried to "host" a game, and that worked except i was by myself so i couldn't actually play. However it didn't crash.

I then quit and tried to play again, and the BF6 screen came up again after the map screen page came up.

Friday Night Battle is broken.

Jumped on again last night just to see what has happened. Was hoping the Portal and Server Browser experience had been improved. But...as far as I can tell, it's basically the same as it was a few months ago?

They are really just gonna abandon and ignore this mode and focus on cheesy crossovers from movies that lost their relevance a few years ago, aren't they?

For the 2042 Portal game modes me and my friends play, we enjoy vehicle drop ins (in a tight corner, drop in a helicopter, get out of there). So I (well Claude) implemented it in BF6. At the moment it's just 3 vehicles and 3 vehicle slots per person, but it works. Some work was done in Godot, some Typescript stuff, some strings stuff. Since I haven't really played with Portal in BF6 I've no idea, but it was easy enough to just follow Claude's instructions, make suggestions, upload files, test things and iterate until I was happy.

I host portal experience with a group of friend and we all experience package loss at the same time, randomly.

Seems like a portal specific issue.

Quick story. A couple of weeks ago me and two friends wanted to settle who's actually the best at this game, so we went into Portal looking for a 1v1 server. There are a lot of them, "Duels", "1v1 Arena", "Gunfight"... and pretty much every one is either empty, broken, or just a normal TDM with a smaller player cap. Nothing with a real queue, nothing where you actually get your own fight. And things like hide & seek simply don't exist.

I'm a developer, so I built one. It started as something just for the three of us, but after a couple of weeks of playing it almost every evening we figured there's no reason to keep it private.

What it does: you spawn on a lobby platform. Press E on JOIN DUEL and the moment someone else is queued, both of you get dropped onto a free arena (there are ten floating ones, so several duels run at the same time).
First to 5 wins. F
ull health and ammo after every kill, and if you both queue again within 30 s you get a rematch. There are also KNIFE, PISTOL, SNIPER and GUN GAME variants (8 weapon ladder, knife last).

Hide & seek runs on a fenced city block below the lobby. One seeker with a pistol who loses health on every missed shot, so you can't just spray. Hiders get a knife and 5 smokes, and if you stand still for 20 s you make a noise. 4-minute rounds, starts as soon as 2 people are in.

If nobody is around there's a practice bot(witch is pretty dumb hahaha), a shooting range, and you can spectate running duels through cameras.
There's a session leaderboard on Tab.

It works fine at 2 players, that's the whole point, you don't need a full lobby.

So if you want to try, I left the server as persistent, Code is 155VG (Portal > Community > Search Experiences).
Map is Siege of Cairo, up to 64 players. Custom experience, so XP is reduced.
This is for the duels and overall having fun, not for grinding.
