Vintera II Bass VI Bridge setup
Took the plunge and bought a used Vintera II Bass VI. At purchase, I knew one of the saddle height adjustment screws was missing. Since I have played on it some more though, I have realized the bridge setup is wonky in some other ways - essentially, the strings are fully in contact with the front and rear lips of the bridge (and with the saddles too). This doesn't seem to be causing any major issues with buzz or intonation, but I'm sure it is not the intended setup. So, I have questions for the community:
Does anyone know the specs for replacement Vintera II Bass VI bridge saddle adjustment screws?
If I wanted to adjust the bridge back into a more typical configuration, I assume I could lower the whole bridge a few millimeters and then raise the individual saddles back up to compensate. Is there anything I should be wary of if I decide to do this?

So, an update on my earlier post kinda, i need a new alternative to a squier bass vi
I was talking to my mom about how i wanted to get a cheap squier strat and convert it into a bass vi and shes pretty much telling me no on that and wanting me to not do it and to just get something else instead of converting one, so whats an alternative to the squier bass vi? Any good baritones that have the 30" scale length i can get for cheaper than a new squier bass vi that i can just put the heavier gauge strings on and tune it like a bass vi? As for why it matters what my mom says, its cause im 16 and anything i do has to be approved by my mom, and she wants to decide what i do. I would get a harley benton baritone or there bass vi but my mom doesnt wanna order a harley benton from thomann because she saw that the shipping was high or something.

Anybody made a bass vi strat? I really want a bass vi but im not a fan of the body shape on them and i prefer how stratocasters look
I saw that some people have converted strats and other guitars to b a bass vi and i wanna know what all id need to do and what i should buy, like should i just buy a squier strat and replace the neck with a baritone neck? Im new to this and im not really sure how to go about it

Good News and Bad News
I got my new Bass VI delivered today, I am very happy I finally got it. But as I was peeling off plastic from the pickups and the controls I noticed a dent and crack in finish from shipping. I already waited a while to get this and the thought of waiting even longer isn’t pleasant. What do you think I should do? Could I even get a replacement if I contacted customer support? Would it be possible to get a partial reimbursement and still keep this and try and get it repaired slightly. I don’t really mind the damage pathetically besides the part of the finish that is cracking off, but if I superglued that I wouldn’t care. Thoughts?
Edit: forgot to mention it was ordered online as a pre order from Chicago Music Exchange

Flatwounds?
Alright, I’m a guitarist, I love the Beatles, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, etc, and I want a bass for recording but also want something cool and different. I LOVE the idea of a bass vi because it’s so different and sick in every way and I’m just obsessed with it, but have seen lots of people talking about the stock strings being terrible on the Squire classic vibe (I can’t afford the Fender). My question is, as I’d use it as a normal bass and well as for the weirder higher stuff, should I put flat wounds on it?
I won’t change the strings much at all, and want it to be able to sound as much like a regular bass as possible (especially more like the Beatles sound), so flatwounds would make sense, but would I still be able to do the cooler more experimental Bass VI specific stuff or would it be a trade off?
Thanks

Trying Bass VI with a classical/bossa nova guitar background
Anyone have experience with both acoustic nylon string guitar and Bass VI? Or even just experience with fingerpicking on Bass VI? I mainly play a Brazilian 7 string classical guitar for writing original songs.
Did knowing one of them make it easier to pick up the other?
What should I expect if I try to riff on it as if it was a nylon string guitar?
Thanks

Jazzmaster to Bass VI Conversion
Here’s a bass vi monstrosity that I put together recently. It’s got bridge and neck thunderbird pickups from Novak, and between them is an electric xii pickup from Madlove. They’re all wired through on-off-on switches which go to a stereo output jack so I can route them to a guitar and bass pre-amp simultaneously.
The neck is from Robot Graves, it’s amazing.
Don’t look too closely at it, the pickguard is all botched. I don’t have real woodworking tools, so everything is done freehand with a router and hand drill. But it actually feels great to play, the weight’s balanced nicely, and intonation was a breeze.
