Hey everyone, new mod here. I want to share my vision for this sub and the community we can build together.
Barcelona is one of the liveliest cities on earth, yet when you're new here it's surprisingly hard to form a circle of friends to do stuff with, whether that's a poker night, a coffee walk, or a group book reading. Most meetup platforms center on events run by companies or professional organizers, which have their pros, but rarely feel organic.
There's a gap for when you just want to grab a beer with a few people at a bar, or find one or two people for your gaming night. That's what this subreddit is for: a cozy, friendly place to meet like-minded people and grow your social circle in this lovely city.
So here's how to get things rolling. If you've got a plan this week, post it, however small. "Coffee in Gràcia on Saturday, anyone?" or "Looking for a 4th for padel on Thursday" is exactly the kind of post this place exists for. If you don't have a plan but you're free, comment on someone else's post and just show up, because every meetup needs people who say yes. And if you have an idea but aren't sure anyone's interested, post it as a question. "Would anyone join a monthly board game night?" costs nothing and might turn into a regular thing.
If you're new to the city, drop a comment below or in a seperate post introducing yourself: what neighborhood you're in and what you're into. Odds are someone nearby is into the same thing.
Don't wait for the sub to get busy before posting. It gets busy because people post.

Este subreddit existe para llenar un hueco: cuando simplemente quieres tomar una cerveza con alguien, encontrar gente para una noche de juegos de mesa, o dar un paseo con café en mano, sin depender de eventos organizados por empresas. Un espacio cercano y sin pretensiones para hacer amigos en Barcelona.
